STAY AWAY We have been attempting to work with Umansky Subaru Service since we moved to the area back in 2017. Most current issue is that we have taken our car in (2) times requesting that the transmission be inspected under warranty. We have had many more issues than can be discussed in one review. This is our only car and we strive to keep it maintained to avoid emergency services. Vehicle broke 100k miles yesterday and has had 3 recurring issues with the transmission in a span of 20k miles. I believe this is due to poor/dishonest service from Umansky Subaru. Do Not Use Them for Service!! Round 1 (81,306) gas pedal was not always responsive and sometimes transmission would jump after a couple seconds. There was also a grating or grinding noise/feel. No issues found. Vehicle was returned to us with no action taken. Was not given an invoice/service record, but have recorded on personal service record and Subaru online service record. Round 2 (90,478) Continued to press issue (and pay them for regular service appointments). Replaced CVT transmission solenoid valve. Not considered an official recall, but is an advertised issue. Valve body was replaced under warranty. Seemed to solve issues. Round 3 (100,085) Car lost power on the road without warning twice in the span of 5 minutes. Hill Assist light turned on at first instance and shut off at second instance. No other lights. Attempted to schedule service today, but no emergency appointments and no appointments at all available for 4 days. Will be using a different service provider as this is unacceptable for a paying customer (paid for warranty and paid for regular scheduled service) with a recurring issue. More

Condition of car after srervice I had a State Inspection,airbag recall, and 4 tire sensors replaced. I paid to replace one senor in 2016, This part has a 10 year life. I was told af I had a State Inspection,airbag recall, and 4 tire sensors replaced. I paid to replace one senor in 2016, This part has a 10 year life. I was told after 3 years it had to be replaced. The service person fought for a reduction when they replaced the 3 year part. I paid twice for the same part, my thinking. My displeasure is with the condition of the interior of the car when it was returned. It was a wet day. My car has dirt and mud on the floor of the car, on both sides.. They did the work but left me feeling dis apointed with the care of my vehicle. They could have wiped the their footprints clean. More

I met with Ray first who then had Tony help me out. He listened to me and helped me pick out the perfect vehicle with everything I needed and within my price range. In the past I've dealt with salespeople (at other dealerships) who talked down to me or made me feel dumb asking questions but Tony was very kind. I ended up purchasing a 2014 Forester which I love. When I dropped off the title to my old car (which they gave me a great trade-in value on) a few days later I had a few questions about the features. Even though the sale had already been made, he met me at the door and took the time to answer everything so I can make the most out of my new vehicle. I'd highly recommend working with Ray and Tony and will be sure to use them for my next purchase! More

Airbag Replacement was completely painless I recently purchased an older Subaru and have been working with the parts department to catch up on long deferred maintenance. The parts department is superb to work with, it is rare to have dealership parts staff that is willing to spend the time to get all that is needed for older vehicles. Had taken my vehicle in for an airbag recall 2 months ago , they damaged the glove compartment, manager wasn’t available to sort the issue ,probably too busy to call back his customers and fix their problems , they damaged the glove compartment, manager wasn’t available to sort the issue ,probably too busy to call back his customers and fix their problems.God knows why these dealerships even have managers who are busy with their own personal lives that it doesn’t matter if the customer is right or wrong , satisfied or not , here I am 2 months later no call , no email or even an apology for $80 damage.very unethical service crew was treated with discrimation , hope the right change comes around soon.and everybody to be respected and taken care of regardless of names and skin tones! I went into Brown Subaru and talked to sales & leasing consultant: Shawn Kennedy. He was very helpful, honest, professional and very pleasure to deal with. At first I bought a used 2015 Honda CRV but I didn't enjoy it. I went back to Brown Subaru three days later and talked to Shawn about it. He helped me out and found a perfect car for me. Now I am driving a 2017 Honda CRV. He had to back track the previous purchase and work it out with Brown Honda since Subaru didn't have the color of the vehicle that I wanted. He is very experience and easy to work with. I will definitely recommend Shawn to my friends and family when they go to Brown Subaru for a new purchase. Great experience and purchase. More

This is my 2nd Forester so I've known April a few years and have also come to know the professional, capable, and friendly service she and the staff provide. In my absence, she advocated for my interests in resolving a replacement part issue and, as a result, I was extended a generous customer assistance offer by Subaru. A stated goal of the service department is to provide excellent customer satisfaction - I appreciate that once again April and the staff so ably accomplished that for me. More

Even though some of my issues have been difficult and frustrating all of them have always made it as easy on me as possible. I know that alot of people these days tend to stay away from dealership service due to over price or whatever the reason may be but with me I usually always go through Browns for anything I need. They change the stereotype of dealership service departments. Thanks guys keep up the good work. More
