Good afternoon Kayla, We would first like to apologize for the delay in receiving your check. Just so you are aware, when a vehicle has a remaining payoff balance, we must first wait for the vehicles title, before we are able to provide you with a check. Unfortunately, Subaru Financial withheld the title for about 5 weeks. As I’m sure you understand, this caused a delay in mailing you the check. After about a month of waiting, our General Manager approved overnighting you the check, as we understand the inconvenience this had caused you. It was sent out August 12th, and due to the weekend, it took more than one day. We certainly apologize for the delay, and lack of communication on our end. According to the tracking information, you should be receiving the check today. We wish you the best of luck with your move, and please contact me directly if there are any further issues. Thank you for your time, patience, and your business

Although I appreciate the dealership finally mailing me the funds that I was contractually owed, that doesn’t negate my negative experience. I was told the process would take 8-10 days. It didn’t. The dealership failed to send Subaru Motors Finance a certified check to pay off the loan, which caused Subaru Motors Finance to hold the dealership’s check for 2 weeks. The dealership, at any point during that 5-week-period, could have chosen to mail me the funds (ultimately, they were mailed without the title being in the dealership’s possession anyway). In addition, the dealership failed to mail the check to the correct address. I, as the customer, had to make multiple calls to UPS to amend the dealership’s mistake. I don’t recommend anyone sell their car here.

Hi Kayla, We are terribly sorry that the process has taken so long. The delays in getting the title were out of our hands, and were due to Subaru Motors Finance's own procedures. We too were awaiting the tile as we could not sell/deliver the vehicle without it. Per the several emails that were exchanged between you and Kim here at Flood, we believe it was abundantly clear that we were making every effort to satisfy you and you in fact you thanked Kim for her help and for keeping you informed. She was unable to respond to you Monday because she was out with food poisoning. The erroneous address was an honest mistake, and we apologize for that. There was never an intentional effort to delay the delivery of your check. Again, we apologize, but this was a highly unusual set of events.
