My husband and I arrived at the dealership on 11411 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20895 (the closest location for us) and there was no one to greet us at first. We wanted to see the 2011 Sonata. W Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20895 (the closest location for us) and there was no one to greet us at first. We wanted to see the 2011 Sonata. We walked around and found 2 open cars and looked at them, we walked around for 5 more min before we were approached by someone (salesperson #1), whose phone rang and then he started to talk. We saw Sonata hybrid and someone else came out to explain some things to us (salesperson #2), while #2 was talking, #1 was seated in the back of the car talking on his cell phone. After he finished his conversation he came out of the car and salesperson #2 asked him if he was helping us, salesperson #1 said yes and the other one left. We were not interested in hybrid but before we can say anything, salesperson #1 stated that this one is sold and we can not test drive it and that they don't have any Hyundai Sonata's for sale. I said to him that we saw 2 open ones and he went to check, then he said those are for sale but previously used/lend. I don't know what they classify as help but saying Hi, we don't have cars and excuse me while I chat with my "bro" on the phone is not helping people. For me the salesperson did not know his inventory well and it was rude to talk on his phone and then come back and say in front of someone who was actually giving us some information that he is helping us.Moreover both guys that approached to "help us" were unkempt, their attire was unprofessional, with stains all over their clothes. I didn't even get to see the car I wanted but after greeting the personnel of that place I gave up on Hyundai. I do not think there is anything that will entice me to go back to that dealership and may be Hyundai Sonata is a great car but I will never know. More
I worked with Jay, the salesperson, for months to get to the right price. He was cordial and professional during this period, and when we finally got close to my price point, he and his manager (i.e., Pete the right price. He was cordial and professional during this period, and when we finally got close to my price point, he and his manager (i.e., Pete) got me to my price point. An after-sale issue was addressed promptly and to my satisfaction. I have already recommended Jay and the dealership to others. Simply stated, a pleasant and professionally-handed sales experience. Jamie started off our sales purchase well and had everything ready for us to see. I was greeted by the people who were not stressed out about having to lie to a customer. I guess there is a type of customers who derive a great pleasure from bargaining battles which give them a sense o about having to lie to a customer. I guess there is a type of customers who derive a great pleasure from bargaining battles which give them a sense of winning a good deal. There is a hidden meaning in bargaining - it requires one to be present and to earn the object of desire thus creating a sense of victory. However, most of the clients still walk away with a sense of loss, because they are not good negotiators. The philosophy at Fitzmall is to create a sense of dealing inside one's own family. It is a more relaxing experience. Client doesn't win or loose. He simply performs a simple function of choosing. The same organization of business as in a supermarket plus friendlier atmosphere. There is also a car service plan which creates a sense of belonging (I chose it). May be the only thing that is missing is a small coffee shop? If one is to take the idea one step further... After all, many people go to Barnes and Noble or IKEA keeping in mind that they will have a cup of coffee there. I would use a slogan - "Fitzmall - clarity of intent". I also would produce a few TV adds to stress "clarity" of the process. Best of luck, Dmytro Shakhov More
Wonderful friendly staff. Felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle in their hands for service. Options were given to me in fixing my car, that unlike any other dealership were helpful financially. My car w my vehicle in their hands for service. Options were given to me in fixing my car, that unlike any other dealership were helpful financially. My car was given back to me after my service vacuumed out and washed, looking great. I am very pleased with the helpful staff, who took care of me in a very timely, professional matter. More
Sean Gaglianos, my sales rep was very helpful. Buying a car was a long stressful process for me mostly because I was sick of dealing with dishonest, nagging salespeople. Mr. Dave Swisher was an excellent salesman. I have no complaints. This was my first car purchase and it was pressure free and comfortable. I walked into the dealership, was given plenty of space and time to fully think about the decision. Mr. Dave Swisher was honest when discussing the xxxxxxand con's of the different cars. Personally, I appreciated not being flatly lied to after months of research on the different cars. I was given ample time to talk with friends and family about the decision, moved through the process at a comfortable rate, and had all questions answered. In the future, I would love continue doing business with him. More
