Poor Customer Service in Collision Shop .I just had the most poor service experience. I called my Nissan dealer that used to be Firkins to get a recommendation on a body shop. I am returning .I just had the most poor service experience. I called my Nissan dealer that used to be Firkins to get a recommendation on a body shop. I am returning my leased 2016 Rogue in January and AIM did my vehicle condition report saying that my small dent needs to be fixed and it should be around $200. The dealership recommended Firkins Collision. I contacted Firkins yesterday online and Mike called me back and we arranged that we would meet at 2:00 today. I also discussed what AIM said the cost should be (and I have it in writing). Mike said it could be a little more if there needs to be paint or a little less if not. I got to Firkins at 2:00. No one was in the office-I waited around 5 minutes before someone stuck their head out and I said I am here to meet Mike. The person said Mike is not back from lunch yet-I thought that was odd since we had an appointment. I waited another 10 minutes without anyone around and then Bryan asked if I could be helped and I told him the same. He said he would check on Mike. In another 5 minutes, Bryan got back and said Mike just returned. I waited another 5 minutes hearing from no one and Bryan asked me to fill out a form with my information. I waited another 5 minutes and Bryan came back and said he would do the estimate. We went out and he did the estimate and I told him about the AIM information. He came back with an estimate of $614. He said that was because paint was probably needed. My concerns here are many. 1. Mike never showed up after our conversation. 2. I had to wait approximately 30 minutes for an appointment where someone apparently had a long lunch according to the others in the shop. 3. The estimate is way different than AIM said it should be. 4. There was never an apology of the time and misinformation. I drove 30 minutes to get to this appointment and I choose Firkins because of the recommendation by Nissan of Bradenton. This is unacceptable in how to treat a customer. Obviously, I will go elsewhere for this business. I later wrote to the management and Mike called me. He said he had to go to Sarasota for parts and was in heavy traffic coming back (two people told me he was at lunch). He apologized that I waited but said anyone could have taken care of me not just him. The problem is no one was there to help. He then said about the price that if I can find a better price from a reputable collision shop, he could match it. Unbelievable. I will get a better price and why would I go back to Firkins after this? More

They ordered the new part and called us when it arrived and fixed it to our satisfaction a day later. We will certainly do business with them again if the need arises. More

Just trouble after trouble with these folks I really wish I could leave a better review for them. I have been taking my Renegade here since I purchased it and have had to have a number of services performed on it. I don't think I've had service that was ever done right the first time. My most recent experience involved getting my windows fixed for the 6th time I believe (I've had them fixed so many times, honestly, I've lost count). After they worked on the car, I was instructed that only one window was done when I needed both to be done. Apparently, there were items missing in the shipping of the parts they ordered (not the first time I've had this issue). On the window they did fix, they apparently had to switch the glass (it wasn't broken) and the new glass was not tinted (since I added tints myself). They had me come back again another time for the other window and to get it tinted (I have had to bring my car back MULTIPLE times due to pieces missing from orders, pieces broken, wrong parts ordered, etc). It doesn't help that I'm stressed already with all these repairs, missing time from work when I have to come back multiple times, and having to catch their shuttle which blasts Fox News full blast (You can't put on some smooth jazz or classic rock?!). When I came back to get the other window fixed, and the original window tinted, my car was returned to me with a HUGE gash on the front of the hood (scratch that actually went into the metal of the hood). While the associate assured me it wasn't his team that did it (he claims it was the tint shop), they did fix the paint. However, that was ANOTHER time I had to come back, drop the car off, ride in the Fox shuttle, and wait for my car. At this time, I tried to address another issue with my AC, scheduled the appointment so it would all be done in one day, reminded both service personnel that I had 2 appointments, was reassured that it would get taken care of, and returned to find that my car was never given to the other service personnel to get worked on. When I asked why, I was not really given a good answer. Both of the workers seemed overworked, and I've had issues where they did not call me back to inform me of the status of my car (I actually missed the Fox shuttle one day, because I was called back too late to catch it). As I said, the people themselves have always been apologetic, and seem willing to help, but when the actual work is done, they ALWAYS fall short. You might ask why do I keep going back? Well, they are the only Jeep dealership in town and mine is still under warranty. Unfortunately, I don't really have other options.
