When my 2004 Chevy Tahoe finally but suddenly quit, I submitted three or four finance applications online, immediately, and John Nicholson (my write-in, below) was first to reply. He got me into the office the next morning and, two hours later, had me driving off the lot in a cute, gas saving 2012 Nissan Versa. My credit isn't spotless and time was short so I'm impressed! John & staff were very friendly and the team worked quickly for me. Go to Firkins if you want the task of buying a new car over with and you want to walk (drive) away feeling confident. More
Just the normal car sales tactics of "get them in the door". I was searching for a 2014/2015 Dodge Durango to replace my 2012. I found two almost identical cars listed on the web in the colors I was looking for. I was searching for a 2014/2015 Dodge Durango to replace my 2012. I found two almost identical cars listed on the web in the colors I was looking for. I pulled my own car fax report and saw that both have been there since March. I sent an email and got a scripted response back, you could tell nobody read my email. We exchanged several emails back and forth, all of them were confirming appointments and confirming that both cars were still there. We live in north Pinellas County and the trip there is over an hour each way so I confirmed on Friday night they were there, but somehow when I got there on Saturday both cars were sold. I went to the GSM and there was not a record of a sale of either car the previous day or week for that matter???? I would beware of anything they said to you! These are the things that give all car dealers a bad name, when in fact most are actually good. It's just the few like Firkins and their employees that keep the poor car business reputation going. I could not get anyone to return my phone calls nor my emails. That is sad when the collision center manager completely blows you off. This dealer likes to pride itself that is a factory certified repair center. This place is full of liars and cheats. I had my insurance company cancel my repair order because after a week of sitting on their promises, nothing had been done with my vehicle. If you want lied to and the run around then by all means use this dealer. I for one chose not to and would advise against anyone using this dealership for their collision needs. I had my insurance company drop this place as a preferred provider because of the way I was treated. Bud Hoshaw, Carmelo Torres, Christ Hunt. Liars and more Liars. Don not trust!!!! Two days later they told me it was the battery with corroded cables that cost $195.63 car rental was $118.21 Over the weekend had trouble with my van so Monday took back in which is 2 miles from my house and all the sudden out of the blue my van is over heating and still had same starting problem. Two days later my bill is $567.25 they said I needed a radiator hose and service on my coolant system flushing, presser test, new fluid. And don’t forget car rental again. Next day my van would not start so I decided to ask around for a reputable Mechanic was told to take it to Keilly’s on Cortez in Bradenton. First there was no car rental because they had a free shuttle service no matter where I wanted to go even to the beach. They found that all I had was a loose wire my total bill was $57.51 The reason why I wrote this review is because Keilly’s took pictures for me and looked over my bill and proved to me that Firkins did not complete all the work or replace the parts they billed me for. Actually they said I had 1.8 hours worth of work wrote on my bill from Chrysler so I asked Joe Murray at Chrysler what they charge per hour he said it ranges from $60.00 to $100.00 per hour so even that is a lie. Yes Firkins is all nice and polite but to take advantage of people like that is not right……. More
