Way too long and too many mistakes. A simple oil change turned into a four day ordeal. I brought my truck in for routine maintenance and other concerns. Dalton McKenna was very helpful and it actually ended up being a very expensive trip out of the blue. Dalton actually got me a great deal on brakes since I needed both replaced. He didn’t have to do that and I appreciate him going above and beyond to make it happen. It’s service like that that will keep customers coming back More
Only thing I wanted done was the capacity of the battery pak checked and they told me they couldn't do that. My last two tanks have given me terrible gas mileage. Also, the technician left the Prius in serv pak checked and they told me they couldn't do that. My last two tanks have given me terrible gas mileage. Also, the technician left the Prius in service mode which meant the motor would not stop running when i stopped--had to immediately take car back to Findlay where the service advisor took the car out of the service mode. Also, on the inspection results it mentioned that I needed the tires balanced and a wheel alignment of which I needed either. And i am asked, would I recommend another person to Findlay--why would I!! More
Always happy to have your staff do the necessary work needed. Only thing I don’t like is being contacted by sales staff so quickly after I leave. I have been to Findlay Toyota numerous times and every time I leave I feel like I was robbed and my vehicle is in worse condition than when I brought it in. I’ve had oil leak on my driveway twice after ha time I leave I feel like I was robbed and my vehicle is in worse condition than when I brought it in. I’ve had oil leak on my driveway twice after having my oil changed there. They lost my keys and made me wait for over two hours until they rekeyed my truck. After paying the cashier told me they would bring up my truck and they never did. After a half hour of waiting I went back in to ask where my truck was and then, after another twenty minutes of waiting I was informed I would have to wait for them to rekey my truck. After I placed a negative review I was contacted by their service manager Bryan Short. He offered me an oil change and pressured me into changing my review which I did and now regret it. Yesterday, August 24th, I brought my truck in for an oil change, wheel alligator, and differential fluid change. The service department never called to let know the truck was ready I had to call. When I picked up the truck I did a walk around to didn’t see anything visibly wrong with the truck. This morning while driving up the parking garage at my workplace I had my windows open and heard a clanging noise. I waited for the dealership to open and called my service advisor. I told him about the noise and he advised me to bring it in. While I was at the dealer I emailed the overall service manager Chad Cory Dehnert and expressed my displeasure with the service that I have received since I began using his service department. At about 12:22 pm, I received a text from Bryan Short and he advised me that Cory Dehnert had left Findlay Toyota but that he had forwarded him my email. I’m not sure how or why Cory still had access to a Toyota email. Bryan went on to tell me that I was missing a pin/bolt from my brake caliper but that it was due to the service I received there. He told me they were looking into a solution for me and someone would get back with me later. At 2:05 pm I received a text asking me to call Jordan. Jordan asked me if it was ok if they trimmed some of my wheel and I said that was fine. I asked what was the status of the missing caliper pin and he said the dealer had the part and it would $195 to install. I asked him why they weee charging me and he said it was not caused by their department which I dispute. At this point I have already paid over $500 for my service. The initial diagnostic completed by Findlay Toyota’s service department included the brake pad thickness still remaining. I assume they would have to remove the wheel to determine the amount left on my brake pads but Jordan denies they ever removed my wheels. This is the first time this noise has emanated from my vehicle and it would have to be a crazy coincidence for it to start right after my service there. I declined their service because now I don’t trust their work at all. I am not a mechanic but am familiar with wiring on cars so I know for certain people unfamiliar with vehicle maintenance have run into the same issues I am running into with Findlay daily. I emailed John Barr directly and received no response. More
I had a good experience with taking my 2021 Hybrid Highlander AWD in for its first service check. I dealt with Phill Crabtree and liked him very much.
