When I arrived at the dealership my GF and I had separate vehicies. Two salesman were at my door before I got out with one more in the back of my truck and one at my GF's door. I told them I was looking ar vehicies. Two salesman were at my door before I got out with one more in the back of my truck and one at my GF's door. I told them I was looking around and would let them know if I need help. Everywhere I went one or more followed us. No communication between salesman either. I went in today and signed paperwork to buy a Scion tomorrow. I logged in my PC a few minutes ago and your internet salesman emails me asking me when I am going to put a deposit down on my car as it will arrrive next week! The car is already here and I have placed an offer on it!! Between these instances and the relentless phone calls I am taking my sale elsewhere. ON a good not Ron Salter is a PERFECT GENTLEMAN and I feel bad for letting him down but I must go where the price is cheapest and your competitor is beating the trade in for my truck by one thousand dollars so to me its a no brainer. Please hire more laid back salesman like Ron, your business will be better. This coming from someone that knows customer service. More
Went to Findlay Toyota on 1/2/13 looking to get a new car. Ended up getting a 2013 corolla for a good price with 0% interest. Everything seemed great. After I thought the deal was done I kept getting car. Ended up getting a 2013 corolla for a good price with 0% interest. Everything seemed great. After I thought the deal was done I kept getting calls from them asking for a cosigner even though my credit is good (700+). Everytime I asked them for my green slip they kept saying, "Oh just a few more days don't worry about it." When day 30 comes I still have no green slip and have not been approved for the loan. I go down there and ask them to cancel the deal and magically they come back with my green slip. I hoped this would be the end. Sadly, it was not. I schedule an appointment to go in the next Wednesday at 2 PM to get LoJack installed. I drop the car off and go to get lunch while they install it. 10 minutes after I left they call me and say they can't get me in that day and I would have to reschedule for next week. I explain to them I would be on vacation next week and they say well I guess you'll have to wait two weeks then. I go back to complain to the service manager and they make me wait 30 minutes and then tell me there is nothing they can do. I had to make a scene and have John Barr tell them to do it. Took 4 hours for a 30 minute job. Two months later, I return and tell them I am not satisfied with the corolla and I would like to trade it in and get an FR-S. They tell me to come back when I have $5000 to put down and they will make it happen no problem. I get my $5000 together in 2 weeks and return to the dealership. When I go back in to buy the car they make me wait for 2 hours and then tell me I would need an additional $4000 to get the deal done. They did not even submit the info to the bank or anything. Additionally, the salesman I was working with ("John D") seemed like he did not care at all and smelled like marijuana after he came back from whatever it was he was doing. I can easily say this place has by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They have lost my business for life. I cannot believe the lies and shady people that I had to deal with. On July 30th, I dropped my vehicle off in the morning and took the shuttle back to my office. At the same time I booked my appointment I confirmed my need for a ride to and from work. I was told a shuttle took the shuttle back to my office. At the same time I booked my appointment I confirmed my need for a ride to and from work. I was told a shuttle would be ready within 10 minutes of me dropping off my vehicle. After 30 minutes I had to track down whoever was supposed to be giving me a ride. After I went to work, no one called me that day and I called a little after 5:00 concerned. Come to find out I was completely forgotten about. My vehicle had been done hours before. The person who was supposed to have called me, Robert Baldwin, told me that it was “an unfortunate over site” on his part. I was then told the shuttle was officially down and they weren’t sure if they could assist me in getting my vehicle since their office was about to close anyway! I am a single mother of two children. I had no way to get my vehicle without an extremely expensive taxi ride and still not without being extremely late in picking my children up from school. Also, with no family in town the school would have had no choice but to call the authorities to come and get my children. That would mean that if I ever did get my vehicle, I’d have to go to the POLICE STATION to pick up my 2 and 5 year old children! After speaking to 3 different people, they finally decided it was fine to pick me up and to stay open long enough for me to get my vehicle. With the time it took them to decide to have someone pick me up, I was alone at the office and sitting outside by myself praying my phone didn’t die before someone picked me up. There is absolutely no excuse for what I was put through for a simple oil change. A free oil change turned out to be a $120 school bill that I incurred because I was horridly late in picking up my children, but thank God not late enough for the authorities to be involved. When I told the representative that I wanted some kind of compensation, he stated that again it was an unfortunate over site on his part and that he could do nothing since my oil change was free, since I myself purchased the extra package. He stated that he would make sure one of his managers contacted me by the next day before lunch. It is now two weeks later and the crickets have even given up on the possibility that anyone at this facility will take responsibility. More
Bought our Prius last year from Findley and couldn't be more disappointed with them. It took me a year to realize this because I just purchased a new car from Fletcher Jones Toyota. Let me warn you that Fi more disappointed with them. It took me a year to realize this because I just purchased a new car from Fletcher Jones Toyota. Let me warn you that Findley will nickle and dime you to death. They charge a $300 VTR fee on top of their $400 doc fee. VTR is a garbage fee! Should have brought my black magic marker. The insurance they offer for 7 years is so over priced that we paid $2200 for the Prius because the finance manager, ex-professional baseball player Ludwick, says the battery alone will cost $2500 if it dies out. Fletcher charges anywhere from $1000-1200, When I needed a new tire for a hazard repair, they said the tire was out of stock and I would have to wait 3-4 months because of back orders. I would have to drive around with a donut tire that long ? Went to a local tire store that stocked them and bought two new tires and tolded Findley off ! Called Findley to have my 15,000 service and they wanted to charge me $85 ? What happened to the two year service is free that they offered. Took our Prius to another Toyota dealership and they said, No problem, it's free with us! I'm staying with Fletcher Toyota from now on. More
I have a 2006 Prius, which I bought at Findlay and have been taking it there for regular service every 5000 miles since I purchased it, a total of 10 services. 8 out of the 10 times, they overfilled the o been taking it there for regular service every 5000 miles since I purchased it, a total of 10 services. 8 out of the 10 times, they overfilled the oil. Each time I would request that they not overfill the oil and almost each time, they would have to drain a little oil because it was overfilled. I have prepaid maintenance, which I thought went to 55,000 miles. I hadn't noticed there was an expiration date, and was never told there was an expiration until the policy expired. The last time I took it to Findlay, the service advisor, who saw I was using a prepaid coupon said it was not due for an oil change. I corrected him, and he acknowledged his mistake. When he saw the date on the coupon, he said it had expired. It happened that I had brought it in for the previous service a few days before the expiration and I was never reminded. My fault, of course, but they could have helped me with a heads-up. I asked for the service manager, and asked him what they could do,. He said they could do an oil change for $59. That is all the car needed. I had just had the tires rotated. It seemed excessive and they told me sorry, it was $59.00. I took the car home and called Fletcher-Jones Toyota who said they charge around 49 for the same service and that they would cut the price in half to get our business for our first oil change there. I made an appointment, and went in. They greeted me, were very nice, and the charge was under $25.00. I will be taking my business to Fletcher Jones. More
