Ridiculous. Have never had such a bad experience attempting to purchase a vehicle which was a 2022 Tundra scheduled to be built Nov, 30th 2021. Sales Manager Ben Mooney originally was helpful, right before: - Reporting several incorrect Market Adjustment prices due to “Managerial Errors” resulting in a $2,500 Markup over MSRP raise another $750 due to a “vehicle transfer fee” which they “split” the cost. (Ben initially reported that they have a $2,500 markup on new 2022 Tundras to be competitive with the Phoenix market which “marks up $5,000 over MSRP”. -Next he tried to negotiate completely hypothetical financing over the phone and after I refuse to agree to a high rate, or any hypothetical financing at all(I reserve the right to get my own) he reports ANOTHER “Error” and “Management made another change, the Market Adjustment is now $4,500” and that my deposit for the truck will now be that price and is non-refundable. I am sure I’m leaving out even more deceptive and sleazy details but these guys essentially decided to not do a deal where they would make at least $7 to $8,000 at MINIMUM in profit over a $1,500 difference plus wanting to cash in on me taking xxxx financing when I have over 800 credit in the deal we arraigned after lying and misrepresenting numbers and fees as a “Sales Manager”. Save your time and money. Even petty tactics of waiting until close to closing time to create a senses of urgency. More
I have been driving a 2019 Toyota Tacoma 2 WD SR5 that I purchased brand new. My salesman ( at the time) put me in a 3 year lease scenario to help a personal situation I was in and to make sure I was in a v purchased brand new. Fast Forward--I was nearing a pretty big chunk of change deep into overage in miles and getting ready to start the process of making a lease decision for FEB 2022. My salesman, Jeff, who no longer works for Toyota but still is connected to his customers suggested I call Robby at Findlay to see what my options were with regards to trading in --in the next month--keep in mind I was already preparing for the "chunk of change" I would have to pay for my miles--LOTS of miles overage via my lease contract. Robby right away responded and assured me that there were alternative options if I wished to trade into the dealer. A few days later I was handed to Mark Keith Johnson and what started off as having to order a 2022 etc etc all of the sudden turned into a picture of a grey/silver 2022 4 WD SR5--exactly what I was looking for on lot. Today (NOV 10) I am the owner of a brand new 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4WD !!!!!! Keith was AMAZING and super helpful, not pushy, fun and super excited for me. Pauly- the finance guy was so helpful, fun, made me feel comfortable with questions regarding payments. He was no xx. Straight shooter and genuinely had my best interests in mind and well made fun of me for all the miles I had on my 2019---but I dished it right back. None the less he was fun and professional. Keith made sure I was all set with my phone pairing and took the time to explain some of the upgraded features and made sure I was comfortable with all the 2022 features. I have to say--I felt like the entire dealership was just as excited about the deal I got today as I was. I walked away with an amazing new 2022 Toyota Tacoma. I traded in my 2019 and know someone will have many awesome adventures and I feel confident that I was given the best, most genuine deal they could give me and take my truck before my lease was up. I would highly recommend Keith or Robby to assist in any sales. Genuine, kind and having my best interests in mind for my personal life and my business matter to me. ASK FOR KETIH !!!
