We understand your position on the situation, however we did not even perform the amplifier replacement, we only performed initial diagnosis for $75.00 charge. The diagnosis software found that the amplifier would have no output when sound stopped code B15C3 was stored. We charged $74.95 for audio sound diagnosis and no further work was performed on the audio system. The radio was operating when the vehicle left the dealership. Also requested was diagnosis of the blind spot monitoring system having failure messages, and the system showed that re calibration of the rear sensors was required due to brackets being bent. The vehicle was brought into us after a body shop had performed $9600 in collision repairs to the rear body of the vehicle, where the amplifier and blind spot monitor sensor failing are located on this model Lexus. Being that the condition was intermittent, recorded malfunction data code(s) were recovered for the failure of the amplifier circuit and blind spot monitoring system by a 20-year Lexus Master Technician, and the radio sound was working at the time the vehicle was picked up from the dealership, we respectfully stand behind our initial diagnosis. If we had we been the facility replacing the amplifier we would have been able to better advise on the statements above. Respectfully, Katie Bredemann

Yes you are correct you did not perform the amp replacement, I paid you to tell me the problem with the audio of the car, which I was told was an amp. Obviously that code can mean multiple things because when I took it into another Lexus dealership they told me it was not the amp. There was no mention that it could be something else besides the amp. The impression I got that it was definitely the amp, or maybe your techs didn't know it could mean something else. Either way pretty poor service wouldn't you say, since it is a Lexus and you are a Lexus dealership? The radio was operating when I left but I told the customer service person that it goes in and out when the battery is reset, and she said to bring it back if it happens again. 15 min down the road it happened again and I brought it back. I'm guessing nobody noted this on your computer screen, not surprising. At which point I asked about the warranty coverage which my car still was and told it was not a warranty issue. I wonder now how this was such a definitive answer since obviously you didn't know what the problem was. You can stand by your incorrect diagnoses all you want, but it was wrong, and the dealership I brought it to said they were not surprised because they have to fix a lot of stuff from your shop. Years of experience does not make you a good mechanic. That person obviously did not care enough to figure out what the real problem was before costing me $1500.00 and a lot of headaches with parts and repairs. And please do not tell me you empathize with my situation or you understand my frustration because I don't think you really understand 6 months of frustration I've had with this for an accident where I had zero fault and then because of your diagnoses my insurance company would not pay for the audio and was told your warranty would not cover it. All because your service department is too lazy to properly diagnose a vehicle.
