Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. My name is Stephanie Miller, and I have been with Skyland for four years now in the Internet department. I'm very sorry to hear you were treated rudely. That is certainly not how we try and treat our customers, and I have brought this to the attention of our service manager so that he can discuss it with his staff. As for the diagnostic testing, I did a little research and learned that with a Dodge Nitro, there is a series of criteria we have to go through in order to check the transmission fluid. It sounds like a very simple procedure to me as well, but I was told it actually is not a simple as a “pull and dip”. It takes about 30 minutes and we have to hook up a scan tool in order to check the transmission fluid. If you give us another chance to earn your business – and I sincerely hope you do - we would like to offer you the diagnostic testing at half the cost. When you had arrived at the dealership you had stated that you thought your transmission fluid was leaking, which is why our service advisor had recommended that you get a diagnostic test. As I had stated earlier, checking the transmission fluid is not just a stick and dip, it requires more time and a series of steps in order to receive a well-informed diagnosis. I can most certainly assure you that we do not insult our customers, and the fact that you are a woman makes no difference - we treat everyone equally and with respect. However hearing that you insulted our advisor, called him a sexist fascist pig and squealed your tires as you sped out of our service area, I am not sure that he should be considered the "rude" one. We understand if you feel the need to take your business elsewhere.

We are sorry you were not responded to in a timely manner - it was not our intention to disrespect you in any way, or your offer on the vehicle. Our used cars are very competitively priced online, and we do not have a lot of wiggle room since they are already priced on the lowest end of the market. As for receiving a rude email, you are absolutely right - that is not acceptable. But sometimes emails do not accurately reflect a person's thoughts, and in this case perhaps Brad was trying to be "to the point," but the email came out short instead. We are very sorry that you felt mistreated. We strive to treat all of our customers with respect, and it is always disappointing when we do not meet a customer's expectations in this way.
