I went in for inspection and service on my 2023 sonata, and I had a few issues as it's a new car to me and I got all the issues resolved except one; that issue is the accumulation of water in my rear drive and I had a few issues as it's a new car to me and I got all the issues resolved except one; that issue is the accumulation of water in my rear driver's door, and I'm being told that when there's a water event, meaning car wash or rain, I should simply open the back door and release the water that has accumulated. This does not happen on any of the other doors, and I believe it's a factory defect, but they're not going to repair anything on this...can you say frustrating?! I had this in when it first occurred and I noticed it last year, and the salesman told me don't worry I have an 8 year corrosion warranty on the paint... yesterday the service manager told me I should have slapped him upside the head, and then he later said some nonsense about the frequency of how many times I open that door and it's effect on the seal. Sounds lame to me... I have nothing against the employees they were fantastic and did all the other things that needed done but I'm frustrated with the car so I guess you could say I'm an unhappy camper. More
