Bait & Switch and all the Trimmings Having been buying Jeeps for the past forty-six years, and currently the owner of three...The Faulkner Experience was the most humiliating, degrading and frustrating I Jeeps for the past forty-six years, and currently the owner of three...The Faulkner Experience was the most humiliating, degrading and frustrating I have encountered. The issues were more than just Bait & Switch...it was a total lack of Trust and Confidence with the people with whom I came in contact. None of which were found to be friendly or truthful. Faulkner needs to "Clean House" and eliminate the unethical and possibly illegal practices of the Sales Department. More

This was the worst service and car buying experience of my life. I purchased a jeep gladiator from Faulkner Jeep in Mechanicsburg 12 months ago and felt like I had a good experience. Shortly after purchasi my life. I purchased a jeep gladiator from Faulkner Jeep in Mechanicsburg 12 months ago and felt like I had a good experience. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I realized that the second key fob did not work appropriately and set the alarm off whenever you try to lock or unlock the vehicle I did not mention anything at the time due to rarely using the second key fob and not wanting to spend the time on a service appointment for the issue at that time. I didn’t mention this item to the sales person when he texted me over the course of the year to see how I like the vehicle and when he texted to see if he could set up a service appointment for me. I intentionally scheduled my annual inspection at the dealership and opted for approximately $1000 worth of additional maintenance work (Transfer case fluid front and rear differential fluid change) While it was in for inspection. I asked them to take a look at the second key fob and explain that it never had worked. My initial service quote that was texted to me. They had had an initial diagnostic service charge of $45 for the fob, And wanted $265 to replace the fob. I called in and spoke with the used car manager who refused to do. anything about the operable fob. Upon my return to the dealership to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the diagnostic charge for the fob was $165 And was met with stiff resistance when discussing this item. They eventually reduced the diagnostic charge from $165 back down to $45 However, continued to adamantly refused to replace the secondary fob. The service Advisor told me that decision was above his pay grade, and the used car manager said that he wasn’t even at the dealership when I bought the vehicle… As that should have any bearing on the situation. In my opinion, I paid far more than what I would have at an independent shop,, but I honestly was expecting them to stand behind a vehicle that they sold And was willing to pay more for routine maintenance items as a result of that. At this point in time, Perhaps others, hopefully will have a different experience, but I would recommend steering clear of both the service department and sales department of this dealership due to my experience. In a nutshell, I left the dealership with my vehicle back after two days in the shop $1300 per and I received an inspection, and oil change, a transfer case fluid change a front differential fluid change, a rear differential fluid change, a new brake light, The same secondary fob that still does not work, and a poor impression of the dealership.
