Honestly the worst car buying experience of my life. I told Sierra from the get go I wanted to pay cash/credit card in full. There was no questions from her about this. When I was actually able to take I told Sierra from the get go I wanted to pay cash/credit card in full. There was no questions from her about this. When I was actually able to take possession of the vehicle, delay after delay, I brought my credit card. I was told they don't take credit cards but will accept $5000 as a down payment on the cc. I said I would write a personal check. I was told they don't accept personal checks because of fraud. I offered to bring up my account on my phone. They ran my credit history 3 times dropping the score significantly and then denied it until I showed the paperwork indicating it was, in fact, 3 times. Sierra gave me the excuse that they were trying to get me the best interest rate they could. I told her I didn't care if the interest rate was 100% I was trying to pay in full. She told me that I could bring $50k in hard cash to the dealership. Like I was going to walk around with that much money in my pocket, are they flipping crazy? I called Toyota Financial and spoke with a wonderful person from Toronto who informed me to look at the paperwork in which I was being charged $10K over due to interest. She was appalled and said she was emailing the powers that be as we spoke, there was nothing unfortunately she could do other than that because of her position and transferred me to another dept. Another nice gentleman was as equally appalled and said he would also contact the higher powers. Within 2 hours I received a call from the General Manager who said he would take a personal check....although previously I was told they don't?? He also stated that they didn't run my credit history 3 times and even if they did it was only a temporary issue. He also degraded the company I use for credit checks. I started questioning my decision to purchase a vehicle from them from the start. Always go with the guy instinct. I won't do business with them again. More
