My only complaint is it is hard to get an appointment. It takes weeks. I tried to book on line and they took three days to get back to me. I did get bad advice too. Again I believe this is due to them being overwhelmed with appointments. They told me my idiot light that went off probably didn’t signify that my tires were low on air and never double checked. My back one was very low when my friend checked it. Get more help so you can be more accommodating to your customers. More

Incompetent service manager I have a 2006 Fusion which is currently being driven by my son, who is in grad school and uses it to go back and forth to school. Twice within the pas I have a 2006 Fusion which is currently being driven by my son, who is in grad school and uses it to go back and forth to school. Twice within the past 6 months the car has experienced an issue with braking where the brake pedal traveled all the way to the floor after the ABS activated and the vehicle was difficult to stop. Because I prefer my son's car to be safe, I called Family Ford to have it looked at and fixed before he goes back to school. When I called, I mentioned that I am especially concerned since there was a recall recently announced by Ford for braking issues. The service manager (who said his name was Johnny) told me that the "Recall is not active" and that "there is no fix available for this issue until first quarter 2020." He went on to say "there is nothing I can do about it." I challenged him by saying "You're telling me you can't fix the brakes?" to which he replied "Even if it is the issue Ford announced the recall for, there is no fix for it until first quarter 2020" which is an absurd thing to say, since the car clearly had brakes when I bought it and they have been serviced many times already, so clearly a braking system can be fixed. It could at least be diagnosed, but Johnny was not inclined to service my vehicle -- which, I might add, Family Ford sold me in 2006. Perhaps Johnny likes to drive a vehicle without brakes, but I'm a little pickier about being able to stop. I did not ask him to repair the vehicle for free, nor did I say this was definitely related to the recall (I'm not a mechanic). I simply stated that there has been a problem braking under certain circumstances and I am especially concerned *because* there has been a recall. I called Ford Motor Company (corporate) and they certified that my vehicle is affected by the recall, and instructed me to go to another dealer and have it diagnosed. They further told me that, if the issue is diagnosed to be the same as what they have issued the recall for, it will be covered under the recall warranty. Even if it's not covered, it needs to be diagnosed and fixed. And now it will be, at another dealership in the area. Save yourself some time - skip Family Ford's service area, where they apparently like to drive vehicles without brakes. And while you're at it, buy your vehicles elsewhere. They clearly don't appreciate your business. More

Multiple quotes as they service your car is a SCAM!!! Worst scamming experience bringing in my Ford car for simple brake pad & alignment wear&tear change. The rep gives me a quote after a full diagnosis that I accepted, gave them the ok to do the job. Half a day later, the same mechanic calls me to say they found something that needs more work to fix (wondering what was the problem finding/mentioning that to me when they first called me after a full diagnosis was done?...started smelly fishy). Nevertheless, with the additional work costing me 50% more than his initial quote, I argued but suckerly agreed for that to be done as well. After all that, HERE’S WHERE THE BIGGEST SCAMMING SUCKER-PUNCH THEY THREW AT ME: when they were finally done and went to pick up the car, NOT ONLY THE BILL WAS ANOTHER ADDITIONAL CHARGE, EXPENSE of now over 110% THE FIRST/INITIAL ESTIMATE, where the mechanic tried to play-stupid by telling me “Oh, I was not including the work, hourly charges, where those estimates were JUST FOR THE PARTS!!! Since then I took my car, disputed the charges, and will NEVER EVER GO BACK or refer ANY OF THEIR SERVICES or car sales to anyone. The Dealership Where We ALWAYS Buy Our Fords! We have a family history that has included several Ford vehicles, and for the last 10 or so years, both of our family cars have been Fords. Aware of the very unfortunate decision to discontinue the Flex, we were faced with the necessity to purchase our most recent vehicle without seeing it before sealing the deal. Happily for us, we have bought our last three cars through Family Ford in Netcong NJ, and know from all of our dealings there that we would have a positive experience, and as usual, everything went smoothly and we once again are the happy owners of a Flex that we assume will provide us with the same happy experiences we enjoyed with the 9 year old Flex we've just traded. Experience, enthusiasm, and expertise with the cars they sell- that sums up our reasons for buying from FAMILY FORD. Our sales person is outstanding. Since 2014 our family has purchased 5 vehicles from FAMILY FORD AND THIS FINE GENTLEMEN handled all of the transactions. More
