We sincerely apologize for any confusion surrounding the initial estimate we provided you, and for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Our Service Advisor admits to making a mistake in his initial estimate – he confused a part that would have been covered under warranty for the part which currently needs to be replaced on your vehicle. Unfortunately, as our Service Manager explained, the particular part that your vehicle needs is not covered beyond Mitsubishi’s basic warranty on your model of 3 years/36,000 miles. We contacted Mitsubishi to see if an exception could be made, but were informed that this wasn’t possible. We did not charge for the labor involved in diagnosing the problem, nor did we require you to pay any fee or deposit to order the part. In light of the fact that you were dissatisfied with our service, we offered you a discount on the part in question, from $794 to $694. We also offered to install the part free of charge. This offer remains available to you. Again, we apologize for any confusion, and hope that we can assist you in the repair of your vehicle.
