I was not really in the market for a car, but my 10 year old van was beginning to have a few problems. My attention was immediately drawn to a used MINI Cooper which seemed to be priced very fairly. On a whim, I entered the dealership, and was immediately greeted by Eric St. Pierre. We took the MINI out for a drive, talked about the features of the car, among other things. By the end of the test drive, I felt like we were old friends. Eric will do very well in any sales position he chooses, as he works hard, but does not pressure, knows his inventory, has terrific people skills, and is just clearly a good guy. After I decided to purchase the car at an extremely competitive price, he kept me informed and up to date with phone calls and e-mails. Everything went very smoothly, and I took ownership a few days later, allowing time to complete some minor work on the car. From this recent seamless experience, I would highly recommend both Eric St. Pierre and Exeter Subaru. More

Overall I had a good car-buying experience, which was fairly quick from the time I looked at the car I wanted and was able to drive it away. When I first went and looked at what would be my new car, I was there before the doors even opened. Eric was one of the first salesmen to arrive and right away, after getting out of his own car, greeted my friend and I as we were looking at the cars. I knew which car I wanted to look at and test drive, and he told me we had to wait for his manager to show up so he could get the plates. In the meantime though, he grabbed the keys, started the car and it gave us plenty of time to look it over before we were able to drive it. He was extremely helpful and honest with what he knew and didn't. So, after test driving, we went inside, discussed pricing and wrote up a P&S (purchase & sale). The other great thing about Exeter, is they partner with the same institution I bank with! However, because of certain unfortunate events outside of anything to do with the dealership, I ended up going straight to my bank to discuss getting a loan, which they had no problems in doing so, as long as they could get the P&S from the dealer. This is where the slight hassle started. I didn't realize I had a P&S, just didn't know what it was as I don't do this very often, so I called the dealership to speak to Eric. He told me he couldn't supply a P&S to my bank until I came in and signed more paperwork and wanted me to go through them instead of my bank directly anyway. So after a brief conversation, I realized I already had what I needed and gave it to my bank. It was at this time I started to understand Eric's insistence to get me to go through them. My bank was able to give me a better rate and loan term with smaller payments than what Eric had been able to come up with. My bank told me this happens all the time, even though the dealership is directly partnered with them. Once that was all settled and I left my bank with a new loan and check for the car, I headed straight for the dealership. When I got there, Eric was occupied assisting other customers (no problem here), but I barely spoke to him. Instead, I was able to finish up most of the paperwork with the business manager (again, no problem here). It's what happened after I handed over my bank's check. It took nearly three hours to get my temp plates and have them inspect the car so I could be on my way. Normally, this wouldn't have bothered me as much, but I had a pressing dead-line that I barely made in time due to these delays. Now, even after the "bumps in the road", I would still HIGHLY recommend Exeter to anyone looking for a good car-buying experience as it is just a very warm and welcome environment where you know they are there to help you anyway they can. Just make sure you don't have any appointments the day you go to buy your new beauty. :) More

I was introduced to Eric by some friends that had just bought a Subaru from him and they felt very strongly that I needed to work with him on my new car. I knew what I wanted and had already gone to another dealer so I could compare my experience. The facility is nice, and the people that work there were very friendly. Eric treated me like we had been friends for a long time, he was honest and gave me the facts and a very reasonable deal. I did not feel like there was any real pressure to buy, although at that point I was very ready and we sealed the deal. The car was ready when promised, the paperwork went very smoothly and Eric took the time to walk me through the features of my new car. Great experience and I would recommend Exeter (and Eric) to anyone looking to buy a Subaru. More
Easiest car buying experience I've had Eric St. Pierre greeted me when I went to Exeter Subaru for a test drive. I immediately felt comfortable and not at all pressured. He was great, too Eric St. Pierre greeted me when I went to Exeter Subaru for a test drive. I immediately felt comfortable and not at all pressured. He was great, too, with my 5 year old son who was not thrilled to be car shopping with me. Eric showed me all of the features of a 2015 Subaru Forester I wanted. I didn't buy one the first day because I wanted to compare prices at other dealerships. I went to Ocean Subaru the next day and they were able to give me a great price. In the end though, I wanted to give Eric my business because he spent so much time with me and didn't pressure me into buying a car on the spot. Eric was able to match the price that Ocean Subaru gave me and I liked the deal Exeter Subaru has in which they replace the tires for free when they are worn down and in need of replacing. I felt that was an excellent value, since 4 new tires cost around $800. I will definitely recommend Exeter Subaru and Eric St. Pierre to my friends and family. More

Before we took our test drive, he spent the time to open the hood to show me the safety features of the Subaru. He then proceeded to explain about all the interior safety features and how everything worked. I can't remember the last time a salesman explained anything more than how to adjust the seat and the mirrors before I test drove a vehicle! He was very friendly, easy to get along with, and I never felt pressure to buy anything more than what I was looking for. I felt that the negotiations over the price were fair and transparent, without a lot of back and forth. I had shopped around at other dealerships, both Subaru and others, but ultimately this dealership had the car that I wanted at the price that I wanted, sold by a staff of friendly, knowledgable people who all were very proud of where they worked. I would definitely recommend considering this dealership when looking for a new vehicle. More
