He answered all of our questions. The customer service/selling the car standpoint was outstanding! We could not have asked for better. The overall experience was very good. Customer service was great. Quality of the vehicle is great. Friendliness was great. We got an outstanding price on the new car so we were very, very happy with that. We both felt they could have (and should have) given us more on the trade-in as we basically now have to pay $1250 on an old horse. The trade-in was worth $16,521 on NADA and Kelley and we owed $15,755. They only gave us $14,500 and that was AFTER we talked them up from $13,300. I KNOW you guys make some serious money on reselling used cars. But they wouldn't go higher and we needed a new car. But overall this was an excellent experience and we highly recommend it to friends. Thanks a lot guys good job. Also we really, really like the new car and are glad we came. When we stopped at a store parking area, he explained the workings of all those things under the hood and answered a all questions. It was the most information I had ever received about any car from a salesperson. I was very satisfied by my experience at Exeter Subaru and will certainly revisit them when a new car is needed. You'll be pleasantly amazed My wife and I did some regional recon of Subaru dealerships. We snuck on lots after hours to check inventory and pricing. For all of our research, we determined that Exeter Subaru had the largest inventory and the best pricing. When we arrived during business hours, we were greeted by John who was warm and quite nice. After 35 years of marriage, I know how difficult if can be to work with my wife and me. She is the dreamer and me the practical one. John immediately found the balance for us both. John asked and listened to our feelings about what we needed and wanted. My wife and I had already narrowed our choices and John helped by providing the right amount of detail without over doing it with a lot of unnecessary sales-speak. We did our test drive. While John was entertained by my wife, he managed to provide a continuous level of information and facts about the car, Subaru and Exeter Subaru. It was a great experience for us all. Coming to an agreement was easy. Both sides were clear and we both understood each other's needs. A good balance was reached. There was, however, one thing that was hard for me to comprehend. All of our previous car purchases required a bank or certified check to finalize the transaction. John kept smiling and repeatedly assured me that my personal check was good. This told me something that I had not realized elsewhere; that this Dealer trusts me. Buyers are supposed to trust the Dealer but the certified check kinda compromises the reciprocity in that regard. Bottom line here is this: my check was good and the experience I had with Exeter Subaru was the best. John and his employers policies and philosophy made me a believer. More
