Their service department keeps calling me about a car I no longer own, multiple times a day, and if you hang up they call right back with another robocall. It's borderline harassment. We had our 2012 KIA sportage in for repair and were given a 2024 Sportage for a loaner. Fell in love with it and pursued the option of purchasing a new one. We dealt with Roxanna and she was amazing. Roxanna was very personable, explained our options clearly and was willing to go the extra mile for whatever our needs were. Her explanations on all the features of the vehicles were excellent and she sure knew her facts. All the staff at Ewald KIA were top notch! Do not buy any of their extended warranties or add-on services that they try to sell you in their finance managers office. We paid a few thousand dollars extra for warranty services we were promised would cover "anything going on with the outside of the car - scratches, dents etc..." It has been a complete mess trying to actually get something repaired under these warranties. We have dents, scratches, and torn fabric... between the 2-4 warranty packages from Fidelity, Xzilon, Kia - they either refuse to fix it, saying it's not covered, or they make you drive to Janesville (an hour from me). After hours of my time on the phone and sending pictures of the dents via email - I finally got an appointment for a 3rd party company to fix the dents in our hood. They even setup a rental car for me... I brought it to the dealer (not Ewald), walked across the street to pickup my rental, get a phone call from the person working on the car from the warranty company and they say it's not covered because it looks like hail damage. Why does it matter where it came from? Why is that my problem? It's a warranty service for dents... Extended warranty services are a giant scam and you should avoid them - if not Ewald entirely. Also, when I called the finance department to complain about being misled and lied to about the services and what they cover, I was told that finance manager doesn't work here anymore but "I know him and he wouldn't have lied to you". So here I am writing my 1 star review, as it is my only recourse after wasting my time and money at this garbage dealer. More
I need a car fast I’m to the dealership down the road. Didn’t find anything. Went to Kia so couple cars test drove them. Roxanne helped me out extremely well. Bought a car. Terrible customer service! I was very interested in a new vehicle on their lot. I called first thing in the morning and was told I needed to have an appointment to view the car I was very interested in a new vehicle on their lot. I called first thing in the morning and was told I needed to have an appointment to view the car. The sales guy said he was going to put the vehicle aside to be ready for me when I got there. I made the appointment and when I got there I was told the car was sold. He didn’t even have the common courtesy or respect to call me and tell me that it was sold. Then he sat there and made excuses about how it was not his fault. Very poor reflection on the company. I will take my business elsewhere! Just goes to show that they are not at all concerned about providing good customer experiences! More
My husband and i were looking for a new car and stopped at Kia. We had gone to many dealerships and this had alot of great cars. Roxanna was our sales person and she was excellent. She explained everything to us. when we went to pick up the car, we spent a great deal of time going over everything so i would understand it. I would truly recommend Roxanna to anyone. I’ve purchased multiple vehicles from Ewald Kia. I’ve always been treated very well and have recommended them to many people. Today that changed. I scheduled a service appointment almost 3 weeks ago I’ve always been treated very well and have recommended them to many people. Today that changed. I scheduled a service appointment almost 3 weeks ago for the fire causing fuse recall. I was there at my appointment time and told they don’t stock parts and I’ll probably have to come back, but maybe they have the required fuse. After about 90 minutes waiting I assumed they had the fuse and were doing the recall work. Wrong. I was told they’d need to order the fuse and it would take three days to get. Then I could call and set up another appointment. I purchased this vehicle there and have had other work done. I’m in their system! Why didn’t they order the fuse when I made the appointment? It’s a 40 minute drive to get there, and now I’ll probably have to wait another 3 weeks to get back in! Absolutely NOT acceptable. This recall is for a fuse that may cause my car to start on fire! Hardly insignificant. I’m so angry right now! More
