John Dilauro was great. However, I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service provided. I was in because wheel weights had fallen off a wheel of my car les However, I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service provided. I was in because wheel weights had fallen off a wheel of my car less than a month after I had all five tires replaced by Empire. John said bring it in and he would have all five wheels re-balanced. When I picked up the car, I noticed the spare tire was up against the bumper. I checked under the car and found the spare was installed incorrectly (I took a photo of the issue) and the support cable was strained. I fixed the issue on site by myself. This could have eventually caused the cable to fail and would have been a safety concern if the tire fell off while I was driving. I also noticed that now there was no wheel weights installed on the spare tire. I did speak with John about this, and he offered to make it right, again. I have lost confidence in the abilities of Empire Toyota. I have not decided whether or not I should bring the vehicle in for fear of possible retaliation. My wife and I have owned a number of Toyota products since 1984. The current vehicle we own has over 290k miles and is 21 years old and runs great. She always says to me, why do you bring it to Toyota to have work done, you know they over charge you. I tell her that I go to Toyota because they do the right work. I am believing she might be correct. More

I arrived at my appointment time on a Saturday and they got me right in. Car needed a wheel alignment. They gave me a time estimate and hit it on the nose. Empire Service is big on Bait and Switch. My family members and friends have had multiple issues with your dealership; and none of us will be returning. This is less to do with the Service Manager (John Dilauro) and more to do with your consistent, unethical business practices. As an example, I came in for an oil change. I believe John told me it would be $129. I then presented a coupon I received from you for $44. Well, that was complete xx. That is not for Synthetic Oil. However, John was able to then reduce the $129 to $88 or so. Again, bait and switch. I needed a new battery too. It started out at $289 or so. However, with some push back, some how it dropped to $249. Then Omar calls me while I am sitting there at 7:45am and pretends he does not know I am there. He of course wants me to upgrade my vehicle. Well, he caught an earful. When I got home and mentioned the "Omar call" to my wife, she said the exact same thing happened to her while she was there. In any case, Omar said he would call me back on Saturday afternoon. Well of course, that did not happen. That is fine. My family and friends are completely done with Empire and will go out of our way to steer people to Smithtown Toyota. Smithtown's prices are better and we never experience the xx we have with Empire. Your company is a poor representative of the Toyota name. More
