My wife and I are both very disappointed with this dealership and will never return. I leased a car from them in June of 2021. Everything smooth with Gracie and then Javier Munoz in finance tried to s dealership and will never return. I leased a car from them in June of 2021. Everything smooth with Gracie and then Javier Munoz in finance tried to slip in almost $4,000.00 in hidden fees. I walked out. Got a call from Kasim Olamuyiwa that night asking what happened and when I explained he had me come in the next day and get agreed upon deal. Fast forward 19 months. I finance a 23 Highlander hybrid limited for my wife at $4000,00 over sticker, which is absurd but some places are upward of $10,000.00 over for hybrids. A month later I finance a 2023 Highlander XLE hybrid for myself. Being that we change cars so frequently I decided to cancel the $4500.00 in extras (extended warranty and service agreement) and payoff my car. That was through Toyota financial and was smoothly executed. My wife’s car is financed through a different credit union so the cancellation of extended warranty must be done through the dealership. I called and spoke to Javier Munoz over a week ago and he had me come in the next day, wait over an hour to see him, and then told me that they’re not in the business of returning money, and that they would have charged more for the vehicle had I not taken the extended warranty. Then he tells me the computer’s not working and he will do it on Monday and send a confirmation email. Only problem, he never said on which Monday he would do it. I called all week and got nowhere. Spoke to receptionist a number of times and was told he’s with a customer and would call me back. No callback. Spoke to Gracie Agosto and Kasim and both said they’d take care of it. I called 14 times yesterday and got no answer. Finally got Laslie Sandoval on the phone and she told me she’d call me back in a few minutes. Less than five minutes later she called and told me that the finance director was going to call me back within an hour. That was over 16 hours ago and no calls. My wife and I are both finished with this place. Our payoffs are good until a certain date and they know this. We are paying interest that we don’t need to because we won’t pay off the vehicle until the extras are knocked off the balance due. Toyota headquarters told us they don’t control what happens at the dealership and suggested we file a complaint with the better business bureau. Be very weary of this dealership and read all the fine print. Guaranteed once you get to the financial point with Javier Munoz he’s going to try and slip in all kinds of extras. By the end of 2024 we’ll be purchasing new vehicles only not from Empire Toyota of Huntington! More
