A COMPLETE JOKE!! I found a Mini Cooper S that I was very interested in online and it happened to be at Route 22 Nissan.. I called to get some information and was redirected by the receptionist 2x and finall interested in online and it happened to be at Route 22 Nissan.. I called to get some information and was redirected by the receptionist 2x and finally she was able to get me some info.. When I inquired about pricing all she could say was "we only negotiate in person"... Being that I lived over 2 hours away I reluctantly made the drive as online on ALL of their ads it reads "We are very negotiable... No reasonable offer refused".. I at least assumed There would be a little flexibility off of their online advertised price.. Which was a bit interesting as the car was listed on both autotrader.com and cars.com at $13,877 and on their website as $14,877 and "financing $11,877"... I should have known right there not to waste my time.. I called yet again and asked to speak to finance manager to get some more info as I was intending to pay CASH and wanted to know what forms of payment they accept.. I was put in touch with Nisarg? and he was all but annoyed he was talking to me especially since I was inquiring about paying cash... In hindsight another clue that I should never have made the drive... Upon arival the dealership could have been best described as dirty, disorganized, unprofessional, etc.. I was about to write it off as a nice drive to North Jersey and simply walk out and go home.. At that point my astute fiance told me to go out on the lot and at least look at the car... I looked at the car and it was actually a really nice 1 owner car.. So I decided to look into things a bit.. By then my fiance had found a "sales person" who was nice and friendly but absolutely clueless... We went inside and sat down and he went to talk to his manager.. He then came back to the table and had a price of $11,877 financed with $3000 down.. I repeated what I had earlier told him (that I was paying cash) and then showed him the print outs from autotrader and cars.com that listed the car at $13,877 with the claim that they were "very negotiable".. He then looked at me confused and said "Oh you want to negotiate off of that price?... To which I replied well yes of course.. Back to the manager (hidden away) he went.. He returned and said to me that the ads were a mistake, but since I drove all the way up there the would honor the $13,877 price for me... as long as I financed with them... I was becoming infuriated.. I repeated for the 4th time that I was paying cash and he tried to then convince me to finance with them "just for a few months" and then pay it off... At this point I knew what they were attempting to do and was outraged that a dealership operates this way in this day and age... I for one last time stated I came up here to pay cash, I have the cash on hand and I wanted to buy the car provided they were true to their advertised pricing.. He then threw his hands up in the air and said okay fine if you insist on paying cash the cash price is..... $15,877... 2 thousand more than the nationally advertised price!!!... I did all I could do to contain my self and not flip the desk over and gladly walked out... I have never even heard of a a dealership that dishonestly.... I am now forwarding all materials that I have along with a synopsis over to the BBB, Nissan North America, AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, and RipOffReport.com.... DO NOT EVEN THINK OF GOING TO THIS SHITHOLE!! More
I went in to buy a Used Car, they were able to find a Car that fit my needs, I asked for Carfax Report, Route 22 Nissan tried to Cheat me by hiding the pages of carfax report that had details of accidental h that fit my needs, I asked for Carfax Report, Route 22 Nissan tried to Cheat me by hiding the pages of carfax report that had details of accidental history, they said that the car is clean with no accidental history. I was suspicious and called my friend to double-check, and i found out that the car had a accidental history. These guys are rude, they don't value their customer's, and wont hesitate lying to your face, another friend of mine also had a very bad experience with Route 22 Nissan. I don't recommend this dealership at all, these guys shouldn't be allowed to do business, no Honesty! More
In my experiences with buying cars, this has to be the best one yet. I have had owned 10 cars and for every experience I've had, this had to be the easiest. Mike was very helpful with helping me with which car I could afford with my budget, and I actually got a 2009 Maxima for the same amount I thought I would get an 2008 for. They had 6 different ones to choose from so I even got the color I wanted. They have lots of cars and are very helpful with helping you pick one. More
I went in to help my mother get a car. The discussed price was $40, 000.00, this includes taxes fees and any other costs that came with it( so we were told). To make a long story short. The final price price was $40, 000.00, this includes taxes fees and any other costs that came with it( so we were told). To make a long story short. The final price was almost $50, 000.00. They stuck a whole bunch of crap to the price and attempted to get us to purchase other things on the car i.e. GAP. Good thing I accompanied my mom other wise, they would have scammed her. Needless to say we walked out!!!!! I have a Nissan Armada, but I didn't buy it from that dealership. We went there because it was closer to my mom's home. More
This by far has to be the worst dealership in the world . They first start out with unexperianced sales people ( my sales man was a 18 year old boy ) Then after the salesboy promised me a car for zero down a They first start out with unexperianced sales people ( my sales man was a 18 year old boy ) Then after the salesboy promised me a car for zero down and #250.00 a month for 36 months the sales manager come over to me with papers to sign that says the car will cost me $250 a month with a down payment of $2500.00 + tax and other fees for 48 months without explaining any of the changes to my contract. After a few choice words exchanged with Felix the sales manager I walked out of the dealership without a car. After a week went by and I cooled off a bit I returned yet again trying to buy a new Nissan. My salesboy asured me that his manager Steve would treat me right and get me in a new car that I was happy with. After another full day of negotiating price on a new Nissan I settled down with the finance department. Only to be given the run-around yet again. He tryed to push GAP INSURANCE on me along with someother crap about who should I finance with Nissan or some outside broker, telling me i would have to have my car serviced by Nissan and not a outside mechanic for services like oil changes and regular maintenance. If that wasn't enough I was charged for license plates after I told him I wanted to transfer my old plated to my new car he said I couldnt because it was a lease and I needed new plates. Fifteen days later I still dont have my new plates. It only gets better ... Apon driving my NEW Nissan off the lot I see there is a check engine light on. I pulled a U turn back to the dealer to tell them about it and was informed that there was noone there to check the car out, to please come back the next day to have it serviced. 11 miles on the car and its already in for service! The next day when I returned the car,the engine smoked from the NJ Turnpike all the way back to the dealership After 4 hours of sitting around to have my NEW car checked the service department mgr told me it was a leak in the bottom radiator hose. Who the %#$@ checked my car before it was delivered to me and why wasnt this found before I was given the car! I could go on and on about the shabby business practice of Route 22 Nissan but i will end it with this ... Anyone who shops @ Rt22Nissan should have there head examened. And the few people who wrote positive reviews about this dealership, it is obvious you work there. YOUR NOT FOOLING ANYONE. More

We dealt with John, and at first he seemed very helpful. But as we were talking and discussing possibilites, it seemed like John could care less if we left with a car. He didnt treat us like we were important. It was like he was trying NOT to sell us a car. We ended up leaving Rt. 22 Nissan, and we went to another Nissan Dealership and we were treated like gold, unlike Rt.22. We got the car we wanted at the price we wanted. I DO NOT recommend going to Rt. 22 Nissan!!! More
My sale involed Mike G., Nisarg, and C. Sonnenblick. These guys are the epitome of a shady salesperson and this clearly emanates from the top, as the sales managers are as well. . Be ready for a smooth These guys are the epitome of a shady salesperson and this clearly emanates from the top, as the sales managers are as well. . Be ready for a smooth talk, but little else. Dealer fees are a rip off and many hidden costs. Definitely could've gotten a better deal. Once they've got your money, forget about customer service. I waited three weeks for license plates and they failed to return upwards of 5 or 6 calls and emails throughout. They then flat out lied, telling me the plates were already express mailed, while the tracking information showed then mailed three days later than claimed. I guess I should feel lucky. I only had to drive 2 days with no tags due to their incompetence and unwillingness to help after the sale. Too many potential dollar signs are in front of them in the form of prospective buyers to worry about people who've already bought. Definitely dint understand the concept that screwing a customer out of a couple grand is gonna keep them (me) from ever spending another 20 grand on a car from them in the future. I am very loyal. If I get a good deal, and are treated well, I go back. When I don't, I don't. In order to make a quick 2 grand now, they sacrifice any lasting customer relationships. Definitely their loss in the end because I buy cars every few years. They think you're stupid or just don't care. One or the other. Bottom line is they just want to make as much profit as possible and care about little else. A bunch of useless tools really. They also tried to Fail to disclose that one of the vehicles I almost bought had clearly been in some accident. More
