I enjoyed the way I was greeted once I entered the dealership. The customer service was professional. Con artists. DON"T GO. They said they had a car online at there place, they did not which was a scam to get us there. We drove 3 hours and called before we left to ask, they said they still had the online at there place, they did not which was a scam to get us there. We drove 3 hours and called before we left to ask, they said they still had the car. We get there no car. We see one that interests us. We finally agree on a price + tax + tags. We sign for it. They come back 30 min after and say they cannot do it at that price anymore. We wait for another hour they say we can do that price. Then they take us in to finance and on the sheet we signed that said price + tags + tax, some one writes in different ink PDSI and Bank fee for 1,800 after we agreed on a price and signed it. They also false advertised their car saying it came with a GPS, and when we asked where is the GPS, he replied it does not come with it and that the internet advertisement is generic and wrong. Everyone blamed someone else from the beginning. I would not recommend anyone to go here and I could not think of one good thing this dealership offered. I was raised on if you don't have anything good to say don't say it, but this took me over the top and I wanted to share my story so no one else makes the same mistake. A series of lies this place was, we walked out after waiting 4 hours for them to do paper work and lie to us. 3 other customers walked out during our stay there mid deal. More

Strike 1 - The sticker price is after 3000 down which they show you in the fine print at the bottom of the page. That's cool as this is a common tactic. He knocks 200 off the price. Still strike 1. Strike 2 - We sit down with the sales manager to "make a deal". This really means: "Let me sit down and tell you why you have to do it our way." and "Ill talk for 20 minutes and constantly interrupt." You might think Im dumb. Just dont talk to me like dumb. And don't accuse me of having selective sight when you clearly drew attention to the lowness of the price. They have no cubicles or anything so all your business is out in the open. They just have a bunch of tables and bodies standing around like the NY stock exchange. Strike 3 - Not only is the sticker price after the 3000 down but it's only if you finance through them. If you pay cash, it's another 2000 above the asking price. So how we get from 12000 on the window to 17000 escapes me. After his speech about how he wants everyone to win, he said the price cannot be adjusted at all because im already getting a deal. No way am I driving off in a car getting nothing I want but a mere 200 off. Theyre crooks folks and dont be fooled by how much business they get or how the car may not be there when you finally decide to buy. Run like mad!!! More
Do not use this dealership!!! They ripped me off in the prices of the vehicle that I purchased; but more importantly they sent me home in a car with NO BREAKS! This was after they charged me $700 for service and parts, and quoted that the vehicle had a few problems, but they were all fixed and the car was safe to drive. They almost killed me and my daughter! I'm in the middle of a law suit with them, because they refused to answer my phone calls, and if answered would hang up on me! Please save yourself A LOT of trouble and stay away form this DEALERSHIP! More
At the end of April, I made my decision to make my first purchase with Nissan and I was interested in the Altima 2.5S sedan. I went to Nissan in Hillside. At first I thought I was going to have a great expe purchase with Nissan and I was interested in the Altima 2.5S sedan. I went to Nissan in Hillside. At first I thought I was going to have a great experience since I made an appointment to be helped before I arrived to the dealership. When I arrived, however the appointment was not recorded. I was assisted by a salesman, Karim, that was not moved to sell me the car. We did work out a price that I was willing to pay for. I told the salesman that I would be back today or tomorrow to pay for the car. I returned several hours later ready and anxious to by this car. I called before I returned to let them know I was serious about my purchase and have paper work beginning. I was left waiting over and hour and a half with not a single salesman asking if we needed any assistance/questions/concerns. There was NO customer service here. I finally spoke to the salesman that I began may journey with, he took my for a test drive and I said okay lets start the paper work. He then told me I would be here for another TWO HOURS AT LEAST! I was willing to do the paper work and get the car later or the next day. This is were everything went south for this deal. He asked how I was going to pay, which I told him from our first meeting I was buying the car out right (in full), he then said I'm sorry we do not take personal checks. No where during the four plus hours I was here did he ever mention that I needed a bank cert. check. The gm of sales was no better with customer service. He came over and said I'm sorry we only accept personal checks up to $5,000. He proceeded to say I do not care if the check was for a million dollars we would no accept it. I did get loud since I wanted this car, willing to pay for it today! He then put his hand up in my face and say I am done. Well I was done too. I left with NO CAR and NO SALE for Nissan of Rt22 of Hillside. This was the worst experience from customer service, hospitality, and work ethic. Furthermore, the reason why I write this e-mail the following day is for the doubt I gave them to actually call me to come back or at least apologize for the situation, neither of these occurred. A place like this damages a good name brand. P.S. - I did buy a Nissan Altima 2.5S at Sansone Auto Mall on Rt 1 & 9. I can only say positive remarks. Noel went above and beyond to make me feel great about my purchase I made with them. More
I bought a used car from them April 30 ,2011. The sales person was late, did not care about what I truly wanted and was taking other customers while he was selling a car to me. I did take the car home, however they made promises (such as a full detail) and when I went back, they made me sit there for 3 1/2 hours. They vacuumed and washed the outside! THAT'S IT! Not to mention they didn't wax it and the inside was WORSE than when I brought it in. The sales manager refused to help me and said, "Looks clean to me" as he was looking threw the window of the building, he turned his back and walked away. My car failed the safety inspection for tires on the 16th of May and they have promised me new tires (Its the law), yet they have told me things like, "We don't have time today to help you. Call back." Mind you... I don't have a valid inspection and could get a ticket, it's been storming very bad and if an accident happens... they have a HUGE liability for letting this car off the lot! Corp Nissan and Route 22 Nissan will be hearing from both me and my attorneys! To date... I STILL DON'T HAVE MY TIRES OR A VALID INSPECTION. NEVER BUY A USED OR NEW CAR HERE!!! More
I was shopping for a used car online and decided to visit Route22 Nissan. I met a sales rep, Antonio. He is very friendly and was very couteous to me and my family. He offered me a test drive and I ended up buying new instead of a used car. Antonio wasn't pushy. He was very sincere and honest with all of his answers. Antonio came in on his day off because it was the only day I could come in. Antonio gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had a question. I actually visited three times before making a decision. Each time Antonio was there helping me out. The day I purchased, I met with Nuno, the financial rep. Nuno did a wonderful job helping me and working with my financial situation. Everything was clear and all paperwork was provided to me. I cannot forget to mention that at one of my visits, Sal, the sales manager came to assist Antonio and answer any doubts. Sal is one of the most nicest and friendliest person I met. He wasn't pushy and really tries hard to get you the best deal ever. At the end of my visits, I felt like I knew these gentlemen forever. To me they became friends and believe me I don't say that about any dealship I've visited. After everything was finalized, I was ready to leave then I saw Antonio cleaning off the sticker price and Steve Simon supervising him. What a wonderful and nice person was Steve Simon. I remembered his name from Route22 nissan website. He is the sales rep for internet sales. Although, it was the first time meeting him, he made sure that they mail me my plates and registration. I live very far away and this is definitely a convienince for me. Believe me I read all the negative remarks made about this dealership and the sales reps but my experience was far from that. If you treat people with respect you will get the same treatment in return. So thank you Antonio, Nuno, Sal and Steve Simon for your wonderful service and care. I will definitely recommend everyone to you. Take care of your two cute boys, Nuno. Sal, good luck to your wife in the dental field. Steve Simon, safe commuting 120 miles to work. Definitely try to go during the week though because of the significant satisfaction amongst their client's with both referrals and repeat clients, it is a busy dealership. I went on Tuesday evening and it was less busy than on Friday and Saturday when I returened to close the deal. I have driven both Lexus and Mercedes in the last five years and I am very happy switching to a Nissan. More
