So I am a young adult looking to buy a used car. I went to Nissan in hillside today because I previously bought a used car from them years ago, and it was a good experience. I am now in a better position with my credit and job, so I'm looking to buy a new (used) car. Minute I parked my car in the parking lot, I was greeted by a sales man finishing his break. I come into the building with the salesman, and right off the bat he starts asking me financial questions ( which I can kind of understand, I look kind of young and am a young adult ) so I answer those questions and tell him I have my own personal car loan and I would just to like to look at cars for the time being, and right away he tries to get me to get finance, or try to convince me. ( saying I cant get the price that car sticker has because it because of financing) I just said i would like to look at cars and talk about the financial stuff afterwards. As we start looking at a few cars, he still tries to push the finance talk to me again, I got a little irritated, and asked him if we can talk about that after, I want to look at the cars for now and he said ok. So as we look around and talk about one of the cars, he gets a phone call, which i was ok with because he was with a customer on the phone. Then I see a car I want to test drive... So he gets the keys and plate and we go into the car. It didn't start due to a dead battery. After I jumped started the vehicle ( because the salesman did not know how to jump a car! ) Test drive was fine, and i still wanted to look at another car, but he brought me inside to talk about the car i just test drove. He immediately says I'll be right back, and I'm standing there for a good 5-8 minutes. Then out of nowhere he comes with his sales manager.( which i don't understand why he was involved since we didn't even talk about the car yet.), He tells me they have a special going on and I can get the car for a certain price, that i was previously told by my sales man that I could only get if i financed it thru them. So I was lied to. Then they tried to push me to come back into tomorrow, to which i said ok, but i would still like to look at another car in their lot. So the sales manager says ok thats fine, and im left with the sales man again. To which he said be right back again... and this time i was left in there for 10 minutes, only to be brushed off and turned away. I was told by the sales manager they have their ONE dealer plate was being in used, and i could not test drive or look at cars now. I don't know the real reason why they brushed me off, but i can only assume it was because i gave the impression i was shopping cars, or due to the fact that I look young. but either way, I felt brushed off when i left that dealer ship. Truly unfortunate, because I was eager to look and maybe buy a car today. I would not recommend this dealer ship to my peers. More

I had visited Rt. 22 Nissan in search of a used car. Unlike other dealers despite my credit they made me feel important. Sal & Richie took the time to explain everything to me and helped me get into a car that I liked and fit my budget. 2 days later the car had a very foul oder. I took the car back and Sal was very understanding and put me in a loaner while they tried to fix it. a week later I went back to pick up my car. The oder was still there. Sal assured me he would take care of it and told service it was unacceptable. 2 weeks later I went to get my car and the oder was still there. I expected them to argue with me but Sal was very understanding and caring. He took me out of the car and put me in a 2010 sentra with no oder lol. I'm very happy with my car. I have to say it was a stressful situation for me but through it all the sales manager was very understanding and caring. He made the difference. I would definatly buy another car from him. More

My fiance and I were searching for a used Nissan Frontier, after months of searching we decided to try one last stop which was Rt 22 Nissan in Hillside. At first we were very skeptical after having so many bad experience with previous dealerships in the same area. Within 10 minutes of us arriving we Sal the manager he was straight to the point with the sales after much negotiation back and forth he made us an offer we were not able to refuse and really thought about it. He made us feel no pressure at all we were able to go home and rethink to make sure this is what we wanted to do; Whatever questions we had he answered and went out of his way to make us feel comfterable with our purchase as well as go above and beyond to make sure we were able to leave the lot with an affordable payment. Let's just say we went back the next business day and sealed the deal with a new 2012 Frontier and the payments are within our comfort zone. The next purchase I make will be a Nissan Altima at Rt 22 Nissan with Sal. I have already suggested him to so many of my friends and family. It was such a pleasure to work with someone who was honest, straight forward but not pressure. Most of all it was really nice to know there are still some good sales men who are not just in it to rip people off but to actually help you make a really tough decision.
