Walking into the dealership, I was treated very respectfully and they were very good at listening to where I was financially and worked out the best deal possible for me. I was extremely surprised respectfully and they were very good at listening to where I was financially and worked out the best deal possible for me. I was extremely surprised at first because I was anticipating a salesman who just wanted my money and that's it. On the contrary, the salesman was adamant on making me spend as little as possible for the best vehicle. I thank RT 22 Nissan for helping me purchase a vehicle at the lowest possible cost as well as making sure I was content with my decision to buy. Rt 22 Nissan is the best!! More

After buying 2 new cars at other dealership and getting good service, I thought the stuff they say about car dealers is not universal. Then I went to Route 22 Nissan. It was my worst experience ever. After good service, I thought the stuff they say about car dealers is not universal. Then I went to Route 22 Nissan. It was my worst experience ever. After I negotiated the price, the finince guy added so much stuff that made my head spin. After negotiating, he made me believe that he is taking away all the charges I dont agree with, but a lot of it was still there in form of "Car theft protection" program which you cannot cancel. I wish I did more research and I wish I read just the negative ratings on this site not the positive ones. I would never buy from them nor recommend this dealership to anyone I know. More
We went to Nissan Route 22 to purchase a new car and had a wonderful experience with Jordon is sales. He was very patient and knowledgeable on the subject and went beyond expectations! Nuno in financial dep a wonderful experience with Jordon is sales. He was very patient and knowledgeable on the subject and went beyond expectations! Nuno in financial department was great as well. With his help we were able to get a great financing rate. In addition to saving money and getting a great vehicle, the plates for the car came earlier that we anticipated. Thank you Route 22 Nissan for the great shopping experience! More
I have bought many cars before... This dealership and Mike G have been the most helpful I have ever seen. They really went the extra mile to make sure I got the car that I wanted. This dealership is pretty much the textbook definition of a "slimey dealership". We had spoken with Jenny, who to our knowledge doesn't even exist, for two days over a brand new 2012 Nissan Altima that was a a "slimey dealership". We had spoken with Jenny, who to our knowledge doesn't even exist, for two days over a brand new 2012 Nissan Altima that was advertised online on Auto Trader and on their website. While it had been a good price initially, we made sure to keep the lines of communication open. On Friday night we were told that there was three Altima's remaining, one being a black one that we were interested in because it had no extra incentives since we only wanted the basic car, and we told them that we were going to come in tomorrow and put a deposit on the car to hold it. Everything was fine and we made the 2 hours hike from South Jersey to North Jersey. The dealership looks like bad news as soon as you see it, really. It's nestled in a bad part of town and we had a funny feeling this wasn't going to be the experience we bargained for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a salesman who was going to show us the Altima we drove the Turnpike for to find out that the car had been "sold" - aka never existed. Pissed, we stepped inside and were shown the only Altima left that had been $7,000 more than we were interested in spending and had bullshit incentives that just jacked up the price. We tried to reason with the salesman, who basically was just the messenger boy between the manager and I, before we demanded to see the manager. He was extremely rude with us and tried to tell us that he couldn't honor the price of the actual car that was in the showroom, which was on Auto Trader with the one we came to purchase, which was 20,089. He said that he could only offer us a little over 21,000 and that was it. We got there at 2 and didn't leave until 9pm. We spent all this time waiting around while the manager talked to his boss for him to only bring the price down $100. What the hell is that going to do? That's STILL over the price that was posted online on Auto Trader. We were furious and left. I would NOT EVER recommend this dealership to anyone who is even a remotely smart consumer. Our salesman, however, was very pleasant and very honest with us. He told us about their little scheme where they price the car $3,000 cheaper than what they try to stick you with because they expect you to put $3,000 down. Do not let these people sway you to buy a vehicle! They are the EPITOME of bad business and I feel bad for any fool who fell for all of their lies and over paid for these cars. I'm now in the works of purchasing the same car for the price that I wanted to pay to begin with and I couldn't be happier. Stay far, far away! Do yourself, your head, your car, and your wallet a huge favor and don't make the trip here! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! More
Went to the dealership based on the low prices they had advertised for their vehicles, particulary Nissan Altima. I took the day off work and went there around 10AM. The place had maybe 3 other customers advertised for their vehicles, particulary Nissan Altima. I took the day off work and went there around 10AM. The place had maybe 3 other customers in it, but I had to sit and wait for a sales rep for at least 45 minutes. Cisco, my eventual sales rep, did nothing more than shuttle information between Mike G (general manager) and the finance manager, basically prolonging the process. It was just a stall tactic because I think they only had 1 finance manager working that day, and he was busy with the 3 other customers ahead of me. Anyway, when it was time to finally work the numbers, I dealt with the finance manager and Mike directly. And then the scam is revealed. Of course the number they advertise is $3000 less than the actual price of the car because they built in a trade-in or a down payment valued at $3000 into their advertised price. So needless to say, I was there thinking I was going to get an additional amount off for my trade but that was not the case. Of course they never told me this, and once you're there, all they do is find out what you want your monthly payment to be and work from there. As for my trade, I priced my vehicle from 4 separate web sites (NADA, KBB, Black book, and Edmunds) assuming Fair condition (even though it's probably at least considered Good condition, but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt) and was quoted prices from $3495-$4225. I even showed them the quotes, but they wouldn't go any less on the price of the car. That's when I learned that the price of the car already accounted for my trade. Just be warned that they WILL lowball you on your trade, so if your car is worth more than $3000, you're probably not going to see any more for it. Secondly, their advertised price includes every possible incentive you probably don't qualify for. Like student discount, loyalty discount, military discount, and Nissan financing discount. So, if you're not a student, never owned a Nissan before, are not in the military, or don't have a credit score of at least 720+ to qualify for Nissan credit, you can expect the price of your car to go up. Way up. Let me also warn you that once they find out what you can tolerate for a monthly payment, they will scam you with every trick in the book to get you what appears to be a good number, but probably isn't. I had a calculator with me (highly recommend bringing one so you can do the math yourself), so I was able to figure everything out myself, but if you don't have one, the low monthly car payment sound affordable until you realize that it's for 6 years. Once I got what seemed like a reasonable number, it turns out that all they did was extend my term out to 72 months when I told them I only wanted to finance the car for 60 months. So, by this time it was 1PM. I got there at 10AM. I didn't even test drive the car, but it took 3 hours for this whole process. I guess they thought I was as gullible as the others in the showroom, but I eventually got up, thanked them for their time, and walked out the door. I did receive several follow-up phone calls asking if I was still interested in the Altima, and I said yes, if they were still interested in selling it for a the price I wanted. She said she would pass my information along to the sales/finance managers, but they never did call me back. However, the receptionist did call back at least once a week over the next month to ask me the same question and I gave the same response, but never did hear back from anybody else. Calls have stopped now. Guess after the 4th time, she realized that they weren't going to sell the car to me for a reasonable price. Now I can deal with car dealers, and I know they like to start high and come down slowly from there, but I can't stand false advertising. Hence they get a low score for customer service and overall experience because I wouldn't have wasted my time with them had I known that their prices were already rigged with ridulous incentives and down payments with no mention of it in the ad. This was by far the BEST experience I ever had in a car dealership. Not the usual runaround. I told them I wanted to stay at my current lease payment with no money down and that's exactly what I got. Short dealership. Not the usual runaround. I told them I wanted to stay at my current lease payment with no money down and that's exactly what I got. Shortly after walking into the showroom I drove away with my beautiful new 2013 Altima. I've bought and leased many cars in my lifetime and always dreaded walking into the showroom, well not anymore. Dave even hooked my phone up to Bluetooth and showed me all the new features of the car while Alex put the temp plates on and dealt with the finishing touches. I can't thank them and everyone else that helped me enough. I would definitely recommend Route 22 Nissan to anyone. Keep up the great work. Joyce Chmiel More
This day was horrible! While car shopping with my parents, we were approached by Bussem, and immediately he had no knowledge of the car we saw on cars.com. Then while we browsed the lot he had no inf parents, we were approached by Bussem, and immediately he had no knowledge of the car we saw on cars.com. Then while we browsed the lot he had no information about the cars we wanted to look at. He couldn't even tell us the difference between the models, of the Nissan Rogue where. Went for a test drive loved the car but once we were done we were told there was no movement on the price. Plus the sticker price was only the financing price, if you put down an expected 3,000 or more. It was very clear that the dealership was pushing everyone towards financing,(very hard). Since we were told there was only $100 off the original price we left, only to realize that he had never giving me my ID back, so we headed back to only get a rude response from Bussem and the rest of the employees. I was told to my face that it was my mothers fault, and he did not have it. Yet come Monday morning my mother called and they had my ID but couldn't tell us where it was found. I would never go back or tell anyone to look there, all the of staff was more interested in the Olympic games then selling cars. Do not go there at all unless you was to be disrespected ! More
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BEGINNING TO END. FROM THE TIME I SPOKE ON THE GABRIL ON THE PHONE TO THE TIME I FINISHED SIGNING THE LAST PAPER WITH CHRISTIAN AND DRIVING MY CAR AWAY, I TELL YOU THESE GUYS TIME I SPOKE ON THE GABRIL ON THE PHONE TO THE TIME I FINISHED SIGNING THE LAST PAPER WITH CHRISTIAN AND DRIVING MY CAR AWAY, I TELL YOU THESE GUYS WENT OVER AND BEYOND WHAT ANY CUSTOMER WOULD EVER EXPECT. THE UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES I ENCOUNTERED WITH TRYING TO GET TO THE DEALERSHIP AND MY TRADE BRAKING DOWN AND THEN ONLY TO FIND OUT THE TRANSMISSION WAS GONE YOU COULD ONLY IMAGINE THE FEELING. GABRIL PICKED MY FAMILY AND I UP FROM WHERE THE CAR BROKE DOWN AT 9:30 PM AND CHRISTIAN WAITED AT THE SHOWROOM AND WORKED ON THE PAPERS.. THEY MADE SURE WE WERE NOT TAKING THE TRAIN OR BUS BACK TO NEW YORK. I DROVE HOME IN MY NEW CAR. I WOULD BE HERE ALL EVENING WRITING EVERY DETAIL,BUT I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU TO BOTH OF THEM FOR TREATING ME LIKE FAMILY AND NOT JUST ANOTHER NUMBER. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. More
