Stay away from this dealership. There are so many hidden fees ($600 for window etching, $800 destination fee). They are very dishonest. Plus their manager became very rude when I point out the hidden fees. More

Empire Nissan of Hillside responded

Customer refused to pay basic, common fees like DMV charges and taxes. New vehicle was discounted by more than $5000.00 as compared to regular retail price. Customer felt that the dealrship should pay normal consumer charges that EVERYONE pays when a new vehicle is being purchased. We politely explained that we are unable to cover standard charges that are always paid by consumers. Route 22 Nissan provided superior customer service and great discount which can not be matched by any other dealership.

Our reviews do not come from employees, Dealerrater doesn't allow it. All of our 5 star reviews are well deserved and earned. Customer appears to be a habitual bickerer and feels that standard fees like taxes and DMV expenses should be absorbed by the dealership. Just another bottom-dweller, who didn't get to steal something from a car dealer. We pride ourselves on serving our customers with honesty, intergity and wholesome good customer service. Thank you.

Why would anyone drive over 600 miles to buy a car!!!??? After all, we don't sell exotic cars like Ferraris or Lamborghinis... We sell ordinary common cars and SUVs. Everything we sell is posted online, along with terms, conditions and lots of pictures. This very frugal customer apparently did not read disclaimers such as Tax, Out of State Tags and Doc fees would require additional dollars. Customer expected to negotiate already discounted (below wholesale) price by several thousand dollars lower than what has been posted online. Whe we politely declined his unrealistic offers, he became belligerent and unruly. As always, Route 22 Nissan provided great service and a car at tremendous savings. Our rating on Dealerrarater is very high, as for every 1500 customers that we service every month, Thank God, we only have a couple of habitual bickerrers and complainers like this individual, who drives over 600 miles to save $250.00.
