Totally open with pricing information! I just went through a lengthy car-shopping experience, working with many different car dealerships across different makes/models. The way that Route I just went through a lengthy car-shopping experience, working with many different car dealerships across different makes/models. The way that Route 22 Nissan communicated with me was VERY different with most. Without having to step foot inside their showroom, I was able to get vehicle specifications, get all my questions answered, hear information on what other features the SUV had that I'd be interested in, and received an out-the-door quote (all dealer fees, taxes, title, etc. included). Most dealerships don't do this - they want to get you in the door and wear you down for hours first, then go back and forth with the manager as you "negotiate" a price. Dave Tober (my salesman at Route 22 Nissan) was totally cool - quite open to hearing my needs and offering a great price, one that beat all competitors. The competitors are still hounding me to find out where I ultimately purchased the SUV at such a great deal. On top of that, this dealership has a program that offers me a monetary incentive to get my oil changes there, essentially making my oil change cost at about $5 per oil change. I still have to verify that one for myself since I just bought the SUV and haven't had an oil change, but the fine print on the program seems to suggest that I have that right. The only negative was the typical amount of time it takes to complete the paperwork. I guess that's standard regardless of where you go. More
