The salesman I dealt with was Jad Hawat. He was friendly in person and gave me a good price on the car I wanted but he didn't come through with the car I wanted. Instead, he just kept stalling and trying to in person and gave me a good price on the car I wanted but he didn't come through with the car I wanted. Instead, he just kept stalling and trying to sell me a car with unwanted option(s) or a higher priced model. Now, I see that he gave me the good price because he knew he wasn't going to have the car for me in the first place (due to inventory shortage which they should know about). Another problem is that once I cancelled my order they didn't credit my $500 deposit (I had to through my credit card company to get it back). Also, anytime I would leave a message for Jad, he wouldn't return my call or he would call me back day(s) later. In other words, Jad Hawat didn't change my perception of what you hear about car salesmen, they tell you what you want to hear right through their smiling teeth. More
I was a bit hesistant to go here after a bad experience at another Mazda dealer. Huntington mazda is about 45 minutes away fron our home but worth the drive. Our salesman John was great! Spoke to him on the phone and by the time we got there he had our options ready. He was very thorough in explaining with none of the nonesense experienced at other dealers. He went over all the car features and the manuals and was extremely knowledgeable with the car. John made us feel comfortable with no pressure. The general manager and the financial guy were helpful in getting us into our new car that same day. I am recommending Huntington Mazda to all my friends and family especially to see John! More
They are as crooked as any dealership. I "Purchased" a new car, "based on availability." Was told they'd have one sent over from another dealership. Called 3 days later to ask if it arrived, and was told "we haven't found one, these things take time" Are you kidding me? LIES. It was a trouble to ever get a hold of them, and when I did via they're Mobile number and said so, was told "It's my day off, I shouldn't even have answered this phone for you" Terrible communication, and rude! I demanded full refund, and bought another Mazda elsewhere that same week, and guess what, NO WAIT. Save yourself the aggravation, just go elsewhere. Second note that should have been a red flag: I purchased a model at the end of the year and they kept showing me the next year's brochure. Many things have changed and they didn't know what! They don't even know their own vehicles. More
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that there can be honest straight forward sales people in New York! I would recommend anyone looking for a Mazda to come meet the staff there. However once they saw that I did my home work and shopped around, they were willing to match my best offer, and treated me very well. John Chong is a class act. Jack DePalo and Angelo Alexiadis are a great supporting cast! John kept in touch with me while I was shopping around, and at the same time he did not push too hard. He had the proper balance. More
Our salesman Jad Hawat was very knowledgeable about the Mazda CX-5. He let us test drive the vehicle on two occasions and then worked with us to get the Grand Touring package at an agreeable price. Before deciding upon the Mazda CX 5 I did my fair share of shopping around in search of the vehicle that was right for me. Most of the sales people I encountered from other dealerships, after crunching some numbers, kept on pressuring me into leaving a deposit, even after I asked for some time to think about their offer. At Huntington Mazda it was a different shopping experience. I was given the opportunity to fully explore the floor model of the CX 5, without the presence of a sales person looming over my shoulder. The second I needed assistance I had the pleasure to meet Mike Grant. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and had no problem answering any of my questions. The test drive went very well, with Mike explaining the different features of the car. The route of the test drive is one of the best around. It takes you down a wide and open country road, so you actually get a better feel for the car.After going over the cost of the car and reaching the best offer possible, I told Mike that I would still like to think about it. He shook my hand and told me to call him once I'd made up my mind. I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted. I picked up the car the day before Christmas and Mike was kind enough to put a Christmas ribbon around the rear view mirror. Thanks Mike. More
