My husband took our 2021 Palisade to the dealership to have a second check on the oil. We are currently doing an “Oil Consumption Test” at your dealership due to each time my husband checks our oil in the have a second check on the oil. We are currently doing an “Oil Consumption Test” at your dealership due to each time my husband checks our oil in the car It is always below the add mark. My husband has an automotive background and he likes to stay on top of our vehicles and so he checks our vehicles fluids first thing before driving them. He has noticed that as our Palisade has been sitting for hours or overnight, the oil should be showing full, or nearly full yet. It shows normally a minimum of a quart low. Usually it’s showing a quart and a half plus based on the full mark and the mark below it that he says is usually a quart low mark which he doesn’t like and feels it is wrong, especially when the vehicle has been sitting for 8+ hours minimum. So since we’ve mentioned our concerns to the Service Manager,Dominick, before our recent service Dominick said he would arrange to start an “Oil Consumption Test.I believe the mileage at that time was still under 15,000 miles but I would have to check the paperwork or the dealerships records. so far they’ve just checked it and they feel they do not need to add any oil yet, so we’re just continuing with the test. Also, there was a recall that was taken care of. Other than that the service department has been great along with the entire facility which is the new facility in the ElkGrove Automall area , thank you Duncan’s. More
