They're both on the internet sales team (you can find them on the official site's Staff page). Lisa has been very straightforward, and prompt in her response. Cynthia has been very patient with my many questions and also straightforward with her answers. Got the sales price quote from Lisa, the internet sales manager. The sales price quote was GREAT compared to other stores. I've double, triple checked with Lisa about the sales price. I'm aware that there are doc, plate, and other fees. But those fees are easily calculated since they're standard across the state. My partner and I thought it was a good place to work from so my partner went in. We were ready to leave with a car. THE ISSUE: My partner went in today, 7/15/2020. the salesperson on the floor named "Matthew Farbo" went beyond the "typical" salesperson tactics to muddle the deal by being dishonest. (Name could be a nickname or just a generic name he had on his computer. I could not find him on the staff directory on the Elgin website). First off, he refused to honor the sales price quote I got from Lisa, the internet sales manager. EVEN WITH A SCREENSHOT OF THE SALES PRICE QUOTE, he kept saying he was confused about that price and refused to talk out the door prices. Then, he tried to trick my partner into paying a SECOND "delivery" fee when the delivery fee should only be paid once. NONE OF THE OTHER DEALERS my partner has talked to have at all brought up the SECOND "delivery" fee when talking OTD price. Never. There are articles online that warn you about salespeople who try to pull off the "second delivery fee" so watch out. Next--this is more standard tactic I've seen--Farbo said that he won't talk prices at all unless my partner takes it out for a test drive. Typical move, so not too surprised. My partner said he wants to hear the price first because that's the most important thing. Farbo then says, "What's the point of price if you don't like the car and I'm giving you a crappy car?" This salesperson was absolutely unprofessional. After about 40 minutes, my partner just walked out. More

They'll charge you whatever they want and will not honor what they promised. When there to service my front brakes, I presented a coupon I found online which included installation of front or rear pads for what they promised. When there to service my front brakes, I presented a coupon I found online which included installation of front or rear pads for $159.95, the service tech told me they were going to inspect the rotors and see if they could be resurfaced and if not they will need to be replaced. Rotors were replaced and I was charged for resurface service as well which doesn't make sense at all, I spoke with the service manager and he couldn't explain why I was charged extra $75 dls of labor, he ended up giving me a free oil change and said he couldn't give me a refund, never going back to service any of my vehicles there. More

Saw a add for a car online. Went here to buy a car, they said it was gone. Found the same exact car with higher mileage and they wanted to charge me 500 more dollars for it! Seemed like a total scam. I thought they should have paid for that, but all they paid for was the labor. But TWO YEARS LATER they have responded to our request and sent us a check for the entire amount! We are completely amazed and happy. This was over and above since we had let the whole thing go and they definitely didn't have to do that. More

The dealer refused to budge with the price. After some negotiation, we came down to an agreement. Unfortunately, the finance manager was slipping in some of these hidden fees that were not explicitly stated. I was overcharged for over $4k!! If possible, I really don't want the car anymore unless they are willing to refund those hidden fees without a fight (doubt it)... More

Bought a 2019 4Runner from here service department is the worst I have ever seen took it in for the 15k ,40 psi in three tires 28 psi in the other Bought a 2019 4Runner from here service department is the worst I have ever seen took it in for the 15k ,40 psi in three tires 28 psi in the other one tire service light came on wife took it over to suburban tire that’s when we found out the tire pressure was off , also the passenger mirror plastics came apart they told my wife nothing they could do about and it looked like it was hit so we took it over to a body shop in south ELgin they could not see any damage and popped it back in at no charge , week later it did it again took back to Elgin Toyota they said the mechanic took it apart and could not find anything wrong with it so drove away again , a few days ago my daughter close the passenger door and guess what the mirror popped apart again this time the top part fell off and hit the ground and chipped the paint so brought it back the Elgin Toyota for the third time they put it back together and scratch the xxxx out of the top cover paint even more instead of replacing the mirror they wanted to just touch the paint up do you believe the stupidity of this dealership no customer satisfaction in their vocabulary I am now in contact with Toyota headquarters to get this resolved the car is under warranty and they should replace the mirror end of story instead they just want to xxxx customers off stay far away from this dealership until they get an attitude adjustment. More
