Every negative comment that I've read about the dealership is exactly what happened to me. I too, was given specific numbers concerning a trade/purchase by way of texts and phone conversation. After driving nearly 3 hrs, my fears became reality. Throw out all those previously discussed numbers and start all over again. NOTHING ever mentioned about the $4999 protection plan until I got to the dealership. They hide behind a small print statement when it comes to giving a person a quote,,,,,may not include dealer installed add-ons,,,,you don't find out about this HIDDEN charge until you get to the dealership. I should have walked and gone elsewhere, but due to the scarcity of available new cars, I was stuck. Lawyers and car salesmen,,,,a special place in purgatory for both. I truly wish I could walk this experience back and undo the purchase. More

This manager and employees in the dealership have no ethics. They throw bait showing month end sale and $2k discount on MSRP and when you go in the dealership they ask for $3k above MSRP by saying you h ethics. Manager was very rude and had no concerns for customer. See photo attached that was sen to me in email but it was not honored when i went to buy the car. I would not recommend anyone even going in this dealership as customers need to teach lessons to these non ethical people. More
If I want to define Thieves, I would say Elgin Toyota Dealer. In my deal to buy 2022 Toyota RAV4, they forced me to buy pro pack for $4995 which I did not want. That pro pack includes installing on my vehicle a GPS from SWAT company. I called SWAP to ask about its cost, they told me they don’t have license to sell it, but they give it to Elgin Toyota Dealer to sell it by installing it on the cars they sell. Wow!!! Also, in trade in my car, they give me a price of $19000, while CarMax priced my car with an official letter and willing to purchase it from me at the seen for $24000. Wow!!! So Elgin Toyota Dealer is taking advantage of the situation such that to make profit around more than $15000 in selling the car to me if we included the Dealer invoice price which is much lower than MSRP price which is not Negotiable anymore. In top of all of that, the sales people including their general manager were very rude and disrespectful. Therefore, I canceled my deal and went to another Toyota Dealer which was 180 degrees better. I never ever advice anybody to purchase a car from Elgin Toyota Dealer, unless if you wanted to pay thousands more on things you don’t want in the first place and you are looking for argument and headache then that is the best place to go. More
The team at Elgin Toyota helped me work through a long-distance purchase, which is something I have never done before. We had purchased toyota camry hybrid on 3/21/22 at elgin toyta when we call to check price on phone representative Cynthia campos she told us 30.556 but we ill give u off 1000 on delivery fees plus your ube toyta when we call to check price on phone representative Cynthia campos she told us 30.556 but we ill give u off 1000 on delivery fees plus your uber discount 750 that bought the payment $28.806.00 from 30.556.00 the MSRP price plus when we called manger Bobby told us your APR be 4.99% but when we got there it went 5.43 little higher then what they told us our dealer umair ibrar told us you can not buy this car without propack protection that's $4995 but we will give u 1500 off that's made $3495 they pressure us to buy this protection that made the total tax and title fees total $34968.00 we made 7000 down payment on this car so balanced loan should be 28968.00 But the fiance manger Mr Kal charge us 30.968.00 instead of 28.968.00 he cheated 2000 extra we did not saw until we got home they offer cheaper deal to bring customers then they make them buy propack protection and charge them extra money they are not honest people from phone representative to car dealer to manger and fiance offer who charged 2000 extra I will not recommend any one to buy any car from here More

I was told the price of a Toyota 2022 MSRP carolla what is 22,400 on the phone. I went to put a deposit on the car and the price went up $5000. The manager came over and said he couldn’t sell me the price that was given to me over the phone. They did nothing but waste my time and I think their manager was rude. BEWARE! Talked with the internet sales team about a 2022 Prius. Was sent a spec sheet with the price of the vehicle and was told we would have to come in to the dealership. We had every intention of buying the car with the price we had been given. After giving all of our information, the salesman came back and said to buy the car we would have to take their Protection Package ($4995.00). We declined, and the sales manager joined us to tell the story about the dealership having to make money, and how they hadn't laid off anyone. The car was not even to the dealership yet, so nothing had been done to it. They told us to take the protection package, or we couldn't have the car. We walked out. There is a reason this dealership has such a poor rating. Many other dealerships in the Chicagoland area. Suggest you try one of those. More
