Thanks Bob, I tried to find a way to reach your dealership directly. The last time I visited Elgin Toyota back in the summer of 2010 I received several ways to contact your dealership. You sent a survey to my apartment as well as several emails regarding the surveys. I was so upset with my visit this winter that I proactively went through my email in order to find a way to reach someone at your dealership. When I wasn't able to find it, I contacted the BBB to report my experience. Not once did I receive any communication from anyone at your dealership. Hello Jessica, My name is Michael Barich and I am the Service & Parts Director at Elgin Toyota. I left you a message previously and haven't heard back so I thought I would try email. I would like a few minutes to discuss your review of Elgin Toyota in regards to your last service visit. Our mistake was not with the intention of taking advantage of you. I really appreciate the feed back and wanted to apologize for our mistake in not properly reviewing the National Service History records for your Corolla. Had we done so, we could have saved you the trip to the second dealer. By no means were we trying to go after your money as you stated in the review. My Assistant Manager made an honest mistake. Had he done his job properly, we could have repaired the vehicle and billed the extended warranty for the repairs. I would certainly like to discuss this with you and even find a way to re inspect the seal the other dealer stated was fine. The technician that worked on your vehicle is one of my finest and maybe one of the best in the industry. I could pick your vehicle up and drop off one of ours to use while we do this. I would even offer you a complete detail at no charge. If you have some time and interest in discussing this with me please give me a call at your convenience.
