Went here to purchase a vehicle because I had a good experience buying my 2020 Sante Fe from them back in 2019. As soon as the first set of numbers where presented to me I was ready to leave. They had the price of the MSRP and then right under that number freight charge. The freight charge is already in the MSRP price. they tried charging double for freight to put money in their pockets, I pointed it out right away and told the salesman. He goes and tells me oh sorry that's a mistake I will have finance fix it. No that's not a mistake, you guys do this daily. If you make it that blatant obvious to screw someone, even if you fix your "mistake" I do not want to continue with numbers and play find the hidden numbers game. I walked out and went elsewhere and purchased my "RARE AND HARD TO FIND" car at another dealer the was straight to the point with everything. Hogs get fat, Pigs get slaughtered I understand you have to make money but when you do it to screw customers you will start to loose customers and word will get out. Lost a returning customer and gave your business to another dealer. More
We had a poor experience with this dealer. We called to verify that the car was in stock and that there was no market adjustment before driving two hours each way to purchase the car. When we arrived, the verify that the car was in stock and that there was no market adjustment before driving two hours each way to purchase the car. When we arrived, the car was available but not only was there a $2000 market adjustment, there were also two dealer packages added to the car that were not listed online for over $3000. If the website had included that information it would have saved us a trip. Truth in advertising unfortunately isn’t a thing for this dealer. More
Spoke with a employee about a car and told them I was coming in to see it. Drove 40 minutes there for them to tell me the car wasn't in their possession yet and they didn't have any pictures. That should've been communicated to me as soon as possible instead of waiting until I got there. They didn't have anything else like it either. The drive home was doubled because of traffic (1 hour, 20minutes). They wasted my time and I am very upset about that. I got a text from them after I got home, asking if I was still coming to the dealership. No one passed on the information that I was there and left a hour ago. They don't communicate well with each other. Maybe they're better with their customers most days but I will not be doing business with them. More

In order to discuss further she said I had to go into the dealership. I went to the dealer that evening with my father. The salesman assured me they had my information from the online sales department however; he went on to provide a price that was significantly higher than the online quote. The conversation went in circles and the general manager came over. I was appalled that they would not honor negotiating in the store as I was told and increased the price of the car. I told the general manager what a waste of time this was and his team was completely unprofessional. My father said it was BS. After this the general manager was upset that he had given my dad his business card at the start of this conversation and demanded it back. He proceeded to get into my father’s personal space and put his hands on him as we were walking out. Under no circumstances should an employee ever place their hands on a customer. Later the evening I emailed the online sales person requesting to speak with someone about the incident. I never heard back from her. I had to contact corporate to get a response and any acknowledgment of the general managers aggressive behavior. The outcome of those conversations with corporate and the dealership owner fell short. I never thought I’d have to review a dealership because I didn’t feel safe. To my knowledge that general manager is still employed. It’s important to note there was another reviewer who had a very similar experience in August of 2020 and noted that the same GM tried to physically intimidate him. That was a detail no one wanted to accept either. More
This is the most unprofessional dealership my wife and I have ever dealt with. The GM, Mike Meha, allowed an employee to smoke in our brand new car, then said we were lying About the smoke smell, even after have ever dealt with. Nothing I like better then to be put on hold for extended period of time by there service department. But it's my fault for buying a car at Elgin Hyundai. I will not make that mistake again.
