My wife and I went to Elgin Hyundai to compare and see what they had in stock on a Friday night. Little did we know that we would walk out that night proud owners of a new Hyuandai. I had a great experience at Elgin Hyundai, from the time I walked in the door until I drove out in my new Elantra. I'd been car shopping for a couple weeks and had terrible, frustrating experiences at a couple other dealerships, but I never felt pressured at Elgin Hyundai. Josh was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He answered all my questions and really worked to make the deal work for me. I got a very fair price for my trade-in, and everything was explained very clearly. I had to return the next week for my floormats and a second key, but even that went smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elgin Hyundai to anyone. I hope to have this car a long time, but when I do replace it, I would start there. More
My wife and I were very pleased not only with the sale personal but with the service DEpt. This is our second Hyundi vehicle and were very please with the sales person David who went out of his way to se personal but with the service DEpt. Well this could have gone a bit better (I will explain) but I have to say they worked their A**es off to make a deal for me and get me into a car that made me happy. I did get more than I owed on my SUV tr but I have to say they worked their A**es off to make a deal for me and get me into a car that made me happy. I did get more than I owed on my SUV trade in and a fair price on a used Hyundai. The car I bought was under the original warranty for years and miles and was just traded in. The car was purchased there new, all the service was done there and then it was traded in there. The car did need some attention, which was promised at the time of sale. Here's the trouble part- 1) The car was sold after bank hours and they had to guess at the rate and payment amount. REALLY! So a couple of days later I signed the final and took the shorter term/higher payment. Anyone hear a bait and switch thing here? Be aware there are reasons people hate dealers. 2) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET BANK APPROVAL, AND CUT A PAYOFF CHECK...I got a call from the bank my trade was with over 2 weeks after I traded it in looking for my payment. I called the dealer and was told it was being sent overnight that day(lie), it still didn't arrive to the finance company for a few more days. I was starting to get calls at work!!! 3) It took them WEEKS to get the part in and I had to call THEM to find out if it was there and get the work scheduled. They had the money and were in no rush to make good on the work. Now once it was set up they gave me a brand new car to drive for the day and completed the repair with no problems. I had to point of some other minor things to service and they did take care of those things too. I was surprised that these things even existed considering all the service on that car was done at their dealership... One of the minor things I had to point out to them was the car only had one key, come on now guys, dealers cut keys for crying out loud! They actually contacted the original owner and they dropped it off to the dealer the day I had it in getting the new bumper cover installed. So anyway, I am happy with the car and don't think it was a total ripoff. Just the sales dept. are kinda like what you'd expect. I was quite sick of them by the time our business was done. More
Sales person Joshua Hastings was extremely professional and extremely knowlegeable in the Hyundai automobiles. Both he and the General Sales Manager Juan Carlos Prats did an excelllent job explaining the and extremely knowlegeable in the Hyundai automobiles. Both he and the General Sales Manager Juan Carlos Prats did an excelllent job explaining the overall benefits of Hyundai ownership. JOshua stayed in touch with us making us aware of where the car was in the procurement process as well as when we can expect the car arriving at the dealership for us. Joshua also thought it was important for my wife and I to meet the Service Manager knowing that for any type of service that may be needed at least we've met the Service Manager who would be taking care of us. The overall experience dealing with Elgin Hyundai was quite pleasureable compared to other high pressure car dealerships we have visited. I feel our deal was fair or else I wouldn't have signed on the dotted line for a new Elantra and I would highly recommend others to deal with Joshua and Elgin Hyundai. More

As a recent college graduate, this was the first big purchase that I was going to make. In making my decision to purchase a new car I wanted a salesperson who would be patient with me and to explain det purchase that I was going to make. In making my decision to purchase a new car I wanted a salesperson who would be patient with me and to explain details to me without beating around the bush or being pushy, and Bill Sid did just that. I had been searching for a new car for numerous months, and finally came across the Elantra; I was very satisfied with what the car had to offer and with the price that it was going for. My first interaction with Bill and JC was on Saturday, May 7, 2011. These two men were very friendly and personable. When speaking with them it felt like you were speaking to a friend or a relative, and that made me extremely comfortable. On Saturday, they did not have the particular Elantra that I wanted, but they promised me that they would call me as soon as the particular car that I wanted was shipped, and they did just that. I signed my deal on Monday and had to come back on Tuesday for the finished product. Overall, my experience was amazing and I am glad that I chose this dealership for the purchasing of my first new car. More

Dave made my husband and I feel very comfortable the first time we went to the dealership. He was not pushy and was a good listener. When my wife and I came to pickup the Tuscon he explained to us all the bells and whistles the vehicle offered; showed us the books and went through them in a very detailed manner and made sure we were comfortable with everything. Hugo in the finance department are was professional and friendly and went over everything with us. We paid cash for the car and it all went very smoothly! Mike in the service department was very happy to talk with us and explain the procedures to bring the car in for service. Over all this is an outstanding dealership and we'll highly recommend it to our friends and family. More
