I purchased a new 2013 Sonata. I wanted to work out a deal on the internet. I was quoted an out the door price. I was pretty adamant I wanted to do this almost all online. When I got there, of course, the price was higher. I let my salesman know I was not going to be buying the first day I went in. After he and I spoke his manager came over and asks why I just did not want to take the car home and pay for it later. When I told him I would be back the following day with my down payment his response was "I would prefer to get this done now". I informed him I would prefer to give him my $20,000.00 on my terms. Typical sales manager with a bad attitude trying to bully someone into a car when they clearly said they were not comfortable buying that day. The car didn't have floor mats in it. They said they should be in in 2 days. A week later and I can't get anyone to help me acquire the floor mats that should have come with the car. To top it all off, I get an E mail from the general manager thanking me for my purchase. He also stated I shouldn't hesitate to contact him directly with any questions. It has been 5 days since I E mailed him with a few questions. No reply. To sum it up, the dealership itself is unclean and run down. Some of the salespeople there are typical underhanded and over aggressive sales people. Do your homework and don't let them bully you. When they tell you they have squeezed every cent out of the car for their price, get up and try to leave. They will find a little more squeezing room. More

He brought the cars to the front for us to look at so we did't have to walk around in the 90 degree heat. We were only in the finance manager's office for a total of 4 minutes. Very professional finance depatment. Josh helped make our car buying experience stress free and we are very happy with our new car. I would highly recommend asking for Josh Hastings when buying your next Hyundai at Elgin Hyundai. We will definitely go back there to buy our next vehicle through Josh. More

I have been going back and forth for a few months about buying a new sonata. I had a 2003 and have been very happy with it. I did want to test drive the Elantra and and decided to 'pop in" and test dri buying a new sonata. I had a 2003 and have been very happy with it. Upon enetering, Josh greeted me immediately and obtained the cars I wanted to test drive to the front of the store since I had my 7 month old daughter with me. Long story short, I got a 2012 Sonata, I am very happy with my experience at the dealership and would recommend it to any one of my friends and family members. More
I purchased a used 2012 Hyundai Sonata at a fabulous price from David who was my original sales person. He went out of his way to make sure the car was ready for me and did a fantastic job of getting me price from David who was my original sales person. After I purchased he explained to me all the right information i needed to know about the ins and outs of my car down to what each and every little button did. The only down side was that the previous owner of the vehicle only turned in one key. Given this was a push to start 2012 car this worried me. A couple days later I called and spoke to Jeff the used car manager, probably one of the most genuine car dealers I have ever spoken to. I told him im so happy with the car but i desperately needed a second key, for safety reasons, and going through Hyundai would have been an expensive nightmare from what i read about smart keys with chips online. He called me back within a half hour with what he could do for me. He was not working on my day off but made sure Mike, the new car manager, knew what to do for me. These guys were so friendly it blew me away. They could have been typical stereotypical car dealers and said sorry tok bad the car is yours now its your problem, but I walked out of the dealership within 15 minutes with my second key at a third of the price I would have had to pay going through other means. Absolutelly without a doubt would i refer any friend or family member to these guys. They made me feel VIP even after They had sold me the car, and affer i drove it off the lot, and it wasn't just the David who sold it to me. All 3 of these guys get an A+ in my book thanks for making buying a car easy. More
Joshua is an amazing salesman, that actually took the time to go over the manuals for the car and help us set up the bluetooth and anything else we had questions about during the selling process. It was refreshing to be at a dealership where the salesman cared about the customer and not just dollar signs, which is why we left very happy with our purchase. There was never a time where I felt rushed or pressured throughout the entire purchase. Josh answered every question asked, and when he didn't know the answer to some very specific questions regarding specific models, he said so. That's right, No on-the-fly Sales Techniques, No general statements. The fact that someone working on a straight commission still has the integrity to be honest and upfront, putting the customer before the sale, is simply stunning. I had my quote before I walked in the dealership. There was absolutely no confusion about this, and it was verified without question. There was no back and forth with the sales manager, no bait and switch, no good cop / bad cop routine. Everything was straight to the point, honest, and in my best interest. Whenever the time comes to purchase a new vehicle, I wont hesitate returning to Elgin Hyundai. More

I wrote a negative review a few days ago, that caught the attention of the man I had been trying to reach to discuss the problem we had with the breakdown of our Sonata. Mr. Selig called me and told me th attention of the man I had been trying to reach to discuss the problem we had with the breakdown of our Sonata. Mr. Selig called me and told me they wanted to help me. Then Mr. Ballin returned my calls and told me they would remunerate me for the breakdown, previous towing expenses we had incurred and give us a free oil change. A check is in the works and just needs a signature. Four hundred eighty-one hundred dollars will be returned to us. With sincere apologies made by Mr. Selig and Mr. Ballin, we feel we have been heard and appreciate so much their help. We will continue to bring our car to Elgin Hyundai and will recommend them highly. More
