The worst car buying experience I have ever encountered! Buyer Beware! It is my opinion Bait and Switch is practiced here! Recently I contacted Elgin Hyundai with a specific vehicle (all packages I wanted in Buyer Beware! It is my opinion Bait and Switch is practiced here! Recently I contacted Elgin Hyundai with a specific vehicle (all packages I wanted included) and requested a quote. The quote I received was lower than other dealerships in the area and was in line with what Edmunds, and TrueCar was quoting the vehicle at. I double-checked the price was correct with dealership personal twice and was told yes. I even went as far as double checking all the packages I wanted were included to which I was informed yet again, yes it is correct. I then tried to place a hold on the vehicle with a deposit but was told they could not at this time. I decided to head to the dealership to purchase the vehicle and when I was nearly there I received a call saying the price was wrong and they were not going to honor the price. I was livid but since I was almost there I decided to still stop in and see what was going on. The manager was very rude and even used profanity in the show room towards me! He did not offer for me to sit down and in fact kept me waiting fifteen minutes before speaking with me. He flat out refused to sell the vehicle or even place it on hold until the next day. He blamed the error on me saying I should have known better due to the discount on the MSRP and he was going to fire the sales person because of me. The manager continued to go on about how the system was changed and the car was put it wrong. (Even though I copy and pasted the original message to eight dealerships none of which had the same issue.) None of the information he told added up let alone made any sense. He continued berating us with firing employees over my ordeal. I left begging him not to fire anyone, as he was snickering about the whole ordeal. The next day I contact the general manager who was equally as rude over this situation and refused to do anything to help what transpired, he continually yelled at me over the phone, and told me he would sell me a car nearly $3,000 higher in price than my original quote. I am in shock at the way this dealer treats potential customers, and blames “mistakes” on it’s customers and refuses to honor a quoted price that was checked three different times. Stay far away! This full review is simply my opinion and experiences when trying to purchase a vehicle from here. More

Best Hyundai around I recently purchased a brand new Hyundai Sonata. I was unsure about the Sonata at first, but Mitch and Andrew convinced me how great the 2015 Sonata i I recently purchased a brand new Hyundai Sonata. I was unsure about the Sonata at first, but Mitch and Andrew convinced me how great the 2015 Sonata is. My sales person was Andrew and he was very friendly. He was just as excited to show me the Sonata as I was to learn about the new car. Him and Mitch went over the new features before I drove off and taught me about Blue Link and the Emergency break assist which was what sold me on the Sonata. I highly recommend Elgin Hyundai and I will be purchasing my Hyundai's from this dealership in the future as well. More
Very friendly and comfortable. I recently bough a 2012 Genesis and it was a special addition. I couldn't find it anywhere else in black. Best customer service in the area Matt was quick, friendly, responsive and willing to work. It even required the rolling of sleeves to get me what I was looking for. Never once did he wipe the smile from him face though. Best experience & I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking. So Happy with our experience. In January 2014 my husband & I needed to replace our two cars as both was in need of repair & too much money to invest in either of them, so we did In January 2014 my husband & I needed to replace our two cars as both was in need of repair & too much money to invest in either of them, so we did have a 2000 Hyundai Accent ( which we loved) & the dealership treated us so well back in 2001 we knew we wanted another Hyundai but an up grade so we purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonta with close to 38,000 miles on it. We liked it but it really did not have the features on it that we would have liked so to make a long story short, we went to Elgin Hyundai to get our free car wash & while we were there Igor Astakhov ( our sales man) asked us if we would like to trade our 2013 Hyundai for a 2014 & of course we thought he was kidding but he wasn't & he showed us one that we could afford with a complete trade-in with the 2013. What a wonderful deal & we couldn't be more Happy with our brand new 2014 Hyundai Sonta with the features we wanted. The best part of owning a Hyundai Sonta is the GREAT gas mileage we get. We drove our new car to South Carolina & got the best gas mileage ever, average milage was 37 miles per gallon. We are so Happy with our new Car. Thank you for making it possible. More

Good Experience Here in Buying a Car We shopped around a lot at lots of dealers. We ended up narrowing it down to to cars/dealerships.
