VERY BAD EXPERIENCE Let me start out by saying that our salesman (Steve Johnson) seemed professional, and knowledgeable. Although according to his sales manger "he spoke out of turn" on a couple of things. We went in to look at a 2011 Sonata that was advertised for approximately $10,600.00. We test drove the vehicle at about 7:00P.M. and were prepared to purchase it on the contingency that we take it to our mechanic to look it over the next day. Steve told us that he would like to give us an out the door price and soon came back with a figure. Again, we told him we would like to take it to our mechanic and offered to give them a deposit payment and he said he would have to talk to his sales manger. That's when we met Jim Urso and he asked us "How could he help us" which was a little confusing because I assume Steve told him what we wanted. Long story short, Jim said that there was a "Pricing Error" on the car and if we didn't buy it right then and came in tomorrow we would have to pay $14,500.00! He said that they do not take deposits even though Steve told us that a deposit would hold the price but not the car, meaning that if they sold the car to someone else we could get our deposit back. Jim then told me that the car had a "BRAND NEW FACTORY ENGINE" installed under warranty. I asked him why that was not stated on the CAR FAX REPORT and he told me that it didn't need to be. I then asked him to provide proof of the new engine installation and he came back and showed me that it was actually a "REBUILT ENGINE". Telling me that they don't take deposits and the price was going to go up in the morning if we didn't buy it right now and that I didn't need to have a mechanic look at it because he would give us at a 48 hour warranty (Whatever that means). As a business owner that deals with customers on a daily basis I know that this type of sales tactic is just wrong, so we walked out. True to his word this time, he raised the price the following morning to an internet price of $14,499.00 GOOD LUCK selling a car that sat on your lot for almost a month and a half for a lower price and then try selling it for about $3,900.00 more. All in all a very frustrating experience! We will never go back and I will tell everyone I know about how we were treated. More
