I traded in a vehicle that was purchased from this dealership. I canceled a warranty and waited almost 60 days to check in to find out where my refund was. I spoke with Mr. Olsen and apparently, the refund was sent to the wrong entity, and a check would be "put in the mail" on March 14, 2023. On March 17th, I went to the dealership and spoke to Mr. Olsen and explained that I had not received the check & I was losing an opportunity to extend my first vacation in 15 years. He claimed that the check was coming from their corporate office and would take longer to get to me and was unwilling to cut me a check. Mr. Olsen called me on Monday, March 20 and confirmed the check was mailed on March 14th. Today, March 22 I received the check, dated March 14, 2023, hand stamped at the dealership (not a corporate office) and postmarked March 20, 2023. So, basically while I begged this guy to cut me a check, my check was sitting there waiting to be mailed out. Very disappointed. More
I have leased 2 cars now purchased my 3rd car and I can’t say enough about this dealership. I had Michael Meah and Jeremy Rosa helping me every step of the way, and I was able to Always reach them by text or say enough about this dealership. I have Never had any problems in my process from start to finish with getting my new Tucson, the service department also has been top notch, and they deserve a Shout Out for Well Done ! I know sometimes you go to these dealerships and you are treated like a Nobody, but this dealership and these people Do Not treat you that way! So, before you read the reviews and decide, I am telling you they are not slimy , crooked, bad people. I will be back, but only for service, as I love my new Tucson, Thank you Mike and Jeremy. Job well done! More

I went to Elgin Hyundai because I was really into the new 2023 Hyundai Palisades. Mike Meah, the General Manager was awesome !!! He greeted me when I walked in and told me that Katie Polite would take good c 2023 Hyundai Palisades. Mike Meah, the General Manager was awesome !!! He greeted me when I walked in and told me that Katie Polite would take good care of me! He was right !! Katie knew exactly what i was looking for with just a few questions. Also, Mike Meah helped me get a GREAT deal!! Everyone there is so friendly and i cant wait to send friends and family and also cant wait to purchase again from them in the future. OH! And also i cant wait to see the new buildings !! Hyundai needs this they are AMAZING! More

Katie has diligently worked at finding one for me. Last week it finally came in and I absolutely love it! She was very good with keeping me in the loop to when it would arrive. She went over all the features and offered me an opportunity to come back to go over any features or questions that I still have questions on later. I will definitely recommend her and Elgin Hyundai to my friends and family. More
I had been warned that this dealer adds unwanted packages and fees to inflate the price of the car, telling you they can't be removed, and that was indeed true. It was not easy, but I was able to get those c and fees to inflate the price of the car, telling you they can't be removed, and that was indeed true. It was not easy, but I was able to get those charges taken off and put money down on a new Kona which was due to arrive at the dealer in about 6 weeks. The car came in about 11 weeks. When I arrived to pick up the car I was told that the amount they would give me for my trade in had dropped from 16000 to 12783. I was agreeable to some drop in value due to market fluctuation and increased mileage but certainly not that much. The GM, Mike Meah, who came to deliver this news became rude and aggressive when I refused the deal, shouting and talking over me. (I am a 67 year old woman and have been a customer of theirs for years) I left without the car and would no longer recommend this dealer to anyone. Their business practices are shady at best and their is no excuse for the GMs behavior. I would have given him a zero if it was an option. I was shocked to read previous reviews of this sales group and see these same issues being brought up repeatedly. More

The third party service is actually owned be the dealer and they "Will not sell a car without the coverage". I bought a used car from them 2 months ago (I paid 40k for the used vehicle) have had it for 2 months and the transmission is going out. This place is definitely quantity over quality. First of all, do yourself a favor, (like we should have done) and read the the reviews about this place. We purchased a car from them, then ofcourse signed the agreed amount (less some additional charges dealerships always add on). We met a guy called Victor and he at first seemed to be a nice guy. Gave us advice on why we should get an extended warranty to which we agreed. We later drove away and upon receiving the paper work from him, our purchase amount had gone up by a literal $2,000 if not more. For a week (we have proof) we sent this dealership emails and left voice mails asking them to fax the original paper work we signed with our agreed amount. They did not send and till today have not sent. Eventually I got fed up and literally had to call their dealership like 32 times in a row (I have proof) till they got annoyed with me and wanted this thing resolved. We finally got to talk to the once nice Victor and he was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. It was like I was having a conversation with a 3 year old. We asked him why he had added certain things to the total that we had not agreed to and he said "It is what it is, what do you want me to do about it". Then proceeded to hang up. We e-mailed the General manager who was helpful but did not provide a reason or resolve as to why we were treated that way, neither did he apologize nor offer any sort of sensible calm. So the General Manager calls us back (This is about 2 weeks after we started asking questions) and confirms that indeed like $1,500-2,00 extra was added without our consent, however they could only reimburse us $900 of that. NO APOLOGY! NO OWNERSHIP! NOTHING! I'm not even sure how this is legal that they can even admit to adding fees but offer no refund. So they have given us back $900 but I am still in shock. It makes sense why they were so rude and dismissive because this is what they do and most people get tired and let it go. FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. THIS IS SO WRONG AND ESPECIALLY WITH NO APOLOGY????? SHAME ON YOU HYUNDAI ELGIN! More
