We had a great experience at Elgin Hyundai. My husband and I were unsure of what midsize suv we wanted and we were passing by the dealership and decided to go in and check out cars. We met with Joel Valdez who showed us the Tuscan and didn't have a lot of knowledge of the vehicle. He did an outstanding job showing us the vehicle and the features and listening to what our needs and wants were. We ended up purchasing the vehicle that evening, something we did not expect to do. Thanks Joel, your knowledge, friendly personality and helpfulness helped us make a decision to purchase the Tuscan and we are enjoying the car. Went in for a recall that they set up for me dropped off my vehicle at 9a.m asked them to put on wipers and was my car service advisor said it will be don in an hour and a half called at 2 p.m and asked adv my vehicle at 9a.m asked them to put on wipers and was my car service advisor said it will be don in an hour and a half called at 2 p.m and asked advisor if my vehicle was finished to only get an attitude and transfered to another advisor who was even more rude and told me the don't have the parts to complete my recall I was like why didn't anyone call me for hours all he could do was be rude and give me 101 excuses all they had to do was call me in the a.m and not wasted my time or keep my vehicle hostage !!! More

I also met with Roger, the manager and he too was very friendly and helpful. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision, in fact George helped me walk through the website to select certain features on the car and financing options so that I could stay within my budget. I would recommend them to everyone interesin a Hyundai. More

BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!! If you check most of the "Bad Reviews" on this thread (too many to count), you will notice a pattern. This dealership will take advantage of you! Ed Howell told me directly "Contract Is Signed he Is SOL". Spoke with Sales Manger JIm Urso who said that the car which was posted on Cars.com at $15,355 price will not be honored. He & Rodger Ramirez agreed on the price of the car would be $16,235. But the price of "Cash Delivery Price Of Vehicle Being Purchased/Leased" on the contract shows $17,675 Again BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!! Not to mention the Add Ons which Ed Howell told me " He just writes them up,(does not explain them) what happens on the sales floor he cannot control". Which brings me back to the Floor Sales Mangers. Ed Howell did say all he talked about was about the Extended Warranty. But he then adds this to the contract AIP for $999.00, Theft Deterrent for $ 899.00, Pro Package for $681 & accessories sale of ID $500. Which if you read the other reviews Prices Differ. Why? A car which was initially posted online for $15,355 ends up after Taxes, Title & FEES@ $22,905. BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!! We were not the first, but we hope to be the last! We will NOT recommend any of our family/friends/coworkers or anyone to this dealership. And I would hope that anyone buying from here just makes sure that you dot your "i" & cross your "T's"! I went to this dealer on 2/27/21 and purchased a sonata from them. Car was on sale for $15156. Closing costs were $1721 including Doc fee, licenses, title and taxes. The only add on I got was Gap Insurance from them. Car was on sale for $15156. Closing costs were $1721 including Doc fee, licenses, title and taxes. The only add on I got was Gap Insurance for $999. I got $2000 on trade in and $2000 out of pocket. Factoring all those numbers I should have been financed for $13876 not $15455 and they have it. Turns out Ed Howell (finance guy) shoved several add-ons arbitrarily with out asking me. $899 (theft deterrent) $299 (accessories) I brought this to Eds attention but he refused to fix it. Saying it he could not do anything else. The loan was already written. Did not offer a refund. Taking into account that they sold me the vehicle at $15735 instead of 15156 and all the add-ons these guys robbed me of an extra $1777. Considering I bought my toyota from this same folks (bobloquercioautogroup) he has several dealerships under different brands I would have expected at the very least a fair treatment and not get scammed. I dealt with Mike Menah (GM) Ed Howell (finance) and David Kang (sales person). I will look into what my options are, since they have refused to remedy this situation. Have all the numbers on the contract and their math doesn't even add up. Stay away from these guys. More
I went to a couple of Hyundai dealerships and none had the Santa Fe Calligraphy, so I called Elgin Hyundai, who said there was one in stock, when I arrived, the model wasn't there, but Tony J, asked about the Santa Fe Calligraphy, so I called Elgin Hyundai, who said there was one in stock, when I arrived, the model wasn't there, but Tony J, asked about what color I wanted and if I wanted to test drive one when any Calligraphy arrives, Tony was GREAT! As soon as one arrived, he called me, I drove it, and I loved it, but still it was not my color, Tony told me that the color I wanted was coming in and he would call me when it arrive. A few days later, the car with the all my options and color arrived. Tony called me and told me the car is being back off the truck as we spoke! That is AMAZING customer service! I went by the dealership that evening and I bought it that night! Plus I was looking to buy "weather tech" floor mats, but Tony said we provide them for you! Again, surprise, and talk about great news... we had a snow storm the next day!!! More
