I’ve always been told, it never hurts to ask, worst they can say is no. They wouldn’t budge on the out the door price, so I politely asked for my keys back that they held behind the advisors counter. Instead of a kind interaction. I was verbally yelled at by 3 “sales managers”. Caesar, up until this point was kind about negotiating the price. I was so close to my desired price (by $1k), but that threw them all over the edge. Steve V - keep in mind I have never talked to this man at all today, yelled at me to “get out! Just leave!” As my keys were still in the dealerships possession. I walked out kind and calmly. I’ve never had an experience ending as poorly as it did today. Please think twice before buying Elgin Hyundai. The 200,000 mile warranty isn’t a part of buying the car from the Bob Loquercio Auto Group. You pay over $3k extra! Please consider Patrick Hyundai, or Leaders Palatine Hyundai. Thank you! More
I had the “pleasure” of leasing a vehicle from Elgin Hyundai, and everything went well at first while I was working with the sales manager — he was professional and handled everything correctly. But when it came time to finalize documents with the general manager, things took a turn. He made a major mistake in the paperwork by listing the color of the car as black instead of white. Because of this, I’ve been pulled over by police several times since my license plate is registered to a black vehicle — while my car is clearly white. I went back to Elgin Hyundai to resolve the issue and submitted a written complaint, but the general manager, Ismail Meah , refused to accept it, offered no help whatsoever. He walked away while I was still trying to talk to him — completely ignoring me. Ismail Meah (General manager ) clearly needs training in basic customer communication. You don’t get to be rude to customers — especially when the issue is your dealership’s fault. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I strongly hope Hyundai corporate reviews how their managers handle customer concerns. More

BUYER BEWARE! Do not purchase your car at this dealership. There are lots of other places to buy. These people will rip you off. I purchased a Certified Pre Owned car from Elgin Hyundai. Within 2 weeks I noticed issues with my tires. I had to get them replaced and the mechanic told me that some parts of my tires measured at 2 instead of 5 like they claimed, which is considered unsafe to drive. When I reached out to the dealership, manager Mike Meah completed blew me off and tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the tires and I must have caused them to become so worn in such a short amount of time. Save yourself the time and anguish dealing with these people and their inflated prices. They also tried to tack on a charge for the CPO certification above the listed online price, so watch out for that too. More

When I got to the dealership, the car was "no longer there." They mentioned that the people I communicate with online don't always know what is on the lot, but did not really have any other explanation. How can I be communicating with someone all day, and then get to the dealership and no one has awareness of me or the car? I left, and then they tried frantically calling me when I was sitting in my car offerings me something much different and out of my price range. They claimed it was not a "bait" situation, but it really felt like one. Of course, I have heard nothing from them since, even when I reached out to express my concern. More

If you do buy from here, be prepared to call and call.. leave voicemails, to have those calls never returned by his staff. Pay attention to your paperwork, go through with a fine tooth comb. I own a 2018 Hyundai Tucson and have been taking it to Elgin Hyundai for service ever since I bought it brand new. Part of the reason is because of the warranty, the reasonable price and the good service I have received over the last 24 years. My most recent experience is no exception. Starting in January of 2023, I was experiencing some issues with my powertrain… issues that are covered under warranty. During the time I first noticed the issues, I worked with one of the service representatives from Elgin Hyundai named Jorge Quevedo. No customer likes experiencing issues with their cars, much less a warranty issue near the expiration date of the warranty. However, over the last 20 months, Jorge assisted me through the process of rectifying the issue from beginning to end. The process was sometimes frustrating because rules are rules and protocols are protocols. However, Jorge was patient, honest with me and saw me through the entire period - even during my communications with Hyundai corporate office to get the work completed. I have never once felt alone, mal-informed, or rushed and it is because of service reps like Jorge that keep people like me loyal customers to brands that value good customer service, honesty and follow through. Kudos to Jorge, kudos to Hyundai for honoring their warranty, and thank you all for a pleasant customer experience for the last 24 years. My next new car will most definitely be - you guessed it - a Hyundai because of experiences like this. More
I bought a 2025 Tucson Limited through the Costco Auto Buying Program. The price was preset. The only thing that had to be negotiated was my trade in. They gave me the best price of the other 3 dealerships that I had been talking to. They had to locate and do a dealer trade for the exterior and interior colors of the vehicle , as they did not have the color that I wanted. The only vehicle that they could locate was an all wheel drive. They sold it to me for the same price that they quoted me for a front wheel drive Tucson. The entire buying process was the easiest and fastest of all my previous experiences. Between the price and total buying process, Elgin Hyundai has made me a customer for life! More
