I have been an uninterrupted customer of Napleton Acura since 2008. I started my relationship with your dealership when I bought my first Acura, a 2008 TL. Due diligence is a valuable process and the res since 2008. I started my relationship with your dealership when I bought my first Acura, a 2008 TL. Due diligence is a valuable process and the results lead me to your dealership. What I received as a perk was the start of a relationship typically reserved for my favorite jeweler, plumber, and local eatery. While I use Napleton service per the recommended maintenance schedule, I enter your showroom and the showrooms of your competitors only every three years. Each time, Napleton wins over my financial "heart", but my most recent experience was special and thought it was important for me to share with you. I have maintained a successful business for 33 years and have interviewed and assessed performance of numerous professionals. I have been Adjunct faculty at Lynn University and South University. I feel strongly that my professional and my personal experiences qualify me to speak on the topic of character, temperament, and professionalism. While I understand each of your employees is judged in many areas of achievement related to the car business, one’s character and personal disposition will always be a useful tool for predicting success. Maciel Madera (btw . . . no one calls her Maciel) is one such individual. Her poised, yet unassuming manner, her friendly, yet professional style, and her seemingly vulnerable, yet confident business approach was refreshing to experience in a dealership showroom. Some of that can be taught, but accolades should be directly primarily to Macey, and I suppose we can shed some sunshine on her madre y padre. I can only wish for Napleton that each of their sales people has her personality and approach. Sadly, I believe in general the car business is cluttered with tactical, maneuvering, and savvy type sales people. None of those types of individuals is appealing to me, and likely most people would agree. How can a salesperson be a "good" person, yet without sacrificing their company's fiscal goals? Ask Macey, she has it mastered. Napleton is very lucky to have her in their employ. Derek Brubaker, Macey's Manager, must be providing an atmosphere to foster Macey's style of salesmanship, so credit to him is warranted. While I had less contact with Derek, he made me feel like a respected repeat customer . . . like the chef at my favorite eatery, and with higher riding pants than my favorite plumber. My goal is to always get the best financial deal on my chosen car, while at the same time respecting the dealership's effort to garner the biggest profit on the sale. That is the car business and to deny that is to be disingenuous. I know it may sound a bit cliche, but for the 1-2 days I spend in your showroom every three years, Macey made me feel like a part of the family. My experience this week concluded with my drive home in my new ILX. Lastly, newly married Darlene, patiently fielded all of my questions with grace and a big smile. Her demeanor greatly tames the reputation of the often dry and potentially contentious paper signing process. As an employer, I appreciate every time a customer takes their time to express their sincere feedback on the performance of my staff. I felt Napleton deserved the same opportunity to know the quality of a few of the individuals in your employ. More
Went to look at a car that I saw on the internet. Test drove the car and really liked it. Started the negotiation process…huge fees and unwilling to come up with a fair price for my trade in. Was looking drove the car and really liked it. Started the negotiation process…huge fees and unwilling to come up with a fair price for my trade in. Was looking forward to working with them based on their ads/webpage as they state how willing they are to negotiate and will give you the best trade in for your car. Left and went to a different dealer and bought a car the same day. New dealer gave me $4000 MORE for my trade in and no huge fees required! More
Napleton Acura Dealership Sales Representative was dishonest stating they wouldn’t “pull credit” that yielded a hard inquiry > bare-faced lie. When you hear crazy stories of dealers trying to charge $ dishonest stating they wouldn’t “pull credit” that yielded a hard inquiry > bare-faced lie. When you hear crazy stories of dealers trying to charge $10k over MSRP for a volume-model car like an MDX plus another $5k in required dealer back-end/add-ons…that’s this dealer. My sales rep did that really insulting thing where they talk down on other local Acura Dealers (who are consistently, objectively rated higher than this dealer) and in the process semi-question your intelligence as a buyer for doing your due diligence by price shopping with those other dealers who “can’t do what they say they can do, but Napleton actually can”…yea…no. Their customer experience is antiquated at best trying to get the customer to sit at the desk while the sales reps run back and forth desk to manager/finance. They have more inventory than other dealers which seems to be used to bait people to come into their store only so that they can then try to take advantage of people on the price. Makes sense why they have inventory…smart buyers won’t pay their insane markups. There are much better (transparent) companies to do business with for buying your next car. It’s disappointing that bait and switch model companies like this still exist today. Do yourself a favor and shop the car you want regionally and pay to have it shipped if need be. You’ll save thousands over buying through a shady company like Ed Napleton Acura. More
