I rated Economy as great because I've had nothing but great experiences with them. I have bought 3 vehciles from them. Great prices and even better service. I once (never again) had my vehicle serviced at a local mechanic; that was a mistake. The guys at Economy will beat anyone's price and will even drive you shuttle you as far as downtown if you need to drop your vehicle off with them. Great folks! They've got my business for life! The sales representative, John Carlisle, exceeded my expectations in responsiveness to my needs. He was extremely helpful in putting me at ease with all the "bells & whistles" on the navigation system expectations in responsiveness to my needs. He was extremely helpful in putting me at ease with all the "bells & whistles" on the navigation system and even encouraged me to contact him if I had any other questions -- I honestly believe he was sincere in his offer and wouldn't hesitate to contact him in the future. I wish I could remember the name of the Financial person I spoke with -- I believe her name was Denise but I'm not sure. She was also very helpful. Not like experiences I've had in the past with other car dealerships that try to make you feel stupid. After all it's not every day that you purchase a new car and being a widow I suspect I'm usually "fresh prey" to some dealerships. Denise took her time getting to know me and help me understand all of my options. I don't want to forget commenting on the Express Service. I went for my first oil change and I was very impressed with their turn around time and they even washed my car! I will be coming back. This dealership gets an A+ in my mind! My ratings are really about the Sales Manger. NOT John the Salesman. John, the salesman, was wonderful: friendly, professional, curtious, GREAT GUY. THEN the sales manager came in. Joshua was the most self absorbing, narcisstic, egotistical young man I have dealt with in a long time. He tried to push me into a warranty that I was not sure I could afford, I tried to explain to him that I am on a fixed income and the additional dollars was my concern. He said several times, "Well it's ONLY X dollars more. That's like a cup of coffee a day. Surely you can afford THAT." I found this to be very degrading and pushy. I understand that the sales manager is to "close the deal" but he needs to be more personable, friendly, compassionate, and just plain nice to his customers. John also told me that the light on my odometer would be replaced. But after I got home, I realized that Joshua had cancelled all repairs. So now the odometer light is out in my Saturn Vue. That was just plain mean. I feal as if he wanted to get the last dig by not putting in the light. I arrived at the dealership a very wet Jan. 20, 2012. I was offered help right away and was not pressured in any way. Jeff was very helpful explaining all the instruments in the car and how to use them. Je was offered help right away and was not pressured in any way. Jeff did not try to take advantage of me because I was a woman, like salesmen at other dealerships do. I came to the dealership knowing how much that I would take for my trade-in. Jeff came back with an offer for my trade & I countered the offer and then Jeff took it to his Manger & got it approved, without haggling back & forth on the price.
