Doug is such a great salesman! He made us feel so comfortable, we were in, out and in our new car in record time. He even entertained my 8 year old while we were waiting for finance! I had an excellent experience at Eckert Hyundai. I dealt with the Fleet Manager Doug and he was great. He quoted me a price on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was hundreds better than any other dealership and my with the Fleet Manager Doug and he was great. He quoted me a price on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was hundreds better than any other dealership and my father and I contacted every Hyundai dealership in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. When I got there, that was the actual price. There were no hidden fees or anything. The car was prepped up nice and Doug showed me everything about the car and was very thorough asking me if there was anything else he could do. The owner Mark Eckert came out and personally thanked us for our business. This is the best car buying experience both myself and my 60 year old father have ever had and I would highly recommend Eckert and Doug and look forward to doing more business with them in the future. I was completely disappointed with our experience at Eckert Hyundai. When the owner, Mark Eckert, responded to our inquiries for a new car, I was impressed. During our conversation, he went to great lengths to explain how ethical they were. Mark sent me a quote in writing and said he would absolutely stand by it. I was ready to buy the car the next day when we visited the dealership. During my conversation with Mark, he told me the car was on order, but that if I didn't mind waiting 10 days he would have exactly what I was after at the price he quoted. All I needed to do was come in and put down a deposit. The next day we came to the dealership ready to buy the car. Mark was there and visible in his office, but he never came out to shake my hand or introduce himself. We were put with the fleet manager. The first order of business was for the fleet manager to tell us what a disaster his daughter was. The conversation, peppered with "F" bombs went on for quite some time despite my efforts to redirect him toward selling us a car. Finally, we gave him the keys to our trade to get an appraisal. After two and a half hours, he came back saying they were unable to find the quote mark had sent me. I told him it was on a web mail account and I could produce it for him...and I did. Thirty minutes later he came out with a price that was $1100.00 higher than the quote, no appraisal and telling us this was the best he could do. Mark had left the dealership for the day at this point. It was noon on Dec. 31st. The fleet manager told us this was not the day to be discussing a car that was not on the lot. Mark was the one who invited us in to discuss that very thing. All in all, after three hours, they totally wasted our time and did not honor their quote. I had been very concise with Mark about that quote and about the fact that it would be for a car on order. I wanted it all straight before I went in. Don't waste your time here. So I eased into it by contacting Eckert Hyundai through email. I received a quick response by one of the owners(Mark)who seemed eager to help me even through emails. I was very specific on what I wanted and for how much. He was able to find the exact car I was looking for and even the right color. I talked back and forth between Mark and Jeff throughout the week. Still a little scared to interact with another salesman in person. I showed up Friday afternoon to just take a look at the car and ended driving out with it that night. Jeff was not pushy at all and was very relaxed. They let me lead the way while they asked a few questions here and there. They already knew the amount that I wanted to finance and went over and beyond to make it happen. The finance department worked diligently with Hyundai finance to get me the special rate even with a so-so credit score. The entire process was quick and simple. They gave me exactly what I wanted on my trade in and the price they quoted online for the new vehicle was still the same. We went through all the fees included in the agreement and I suprised to see how minimal their fees were. Others were charging ridiculous amounts for basic things like doc prep. Jeff and Melissa explained every detail of the buying process. I just wanted to jump over the table and give them a huge hug. I had lost faith in the dealership world until I met the great people at Eckerts. I will recommend them to everyone I meet. I look forward to purchasing many more cars from them. We told him that we were looking for a 2010 Veracruz Ltd, and he was able to locate the model, color and options that we wanted on the vehicle as well as being able to get us a fantastic deal on the SUV. James Colman in Finance took great care of us and got us a very nice deal on the financing. Thanks to both of these wonderful people for going the extra mile for helping ensure a great sales experience. These guys were totally professional, with no high pressure sales tactics. Bought a brand new 2011 Hyundai Sonata right after they came out as a new model. Had to order the one I wanted and Doug and the rest of the dealership made the process very easy. Once the car arrived it took less than 1 hour to complete the deal, including financing at 2.9%. Doug was very knowledgeable about the car and never put pressure to buy right away like most car salesmen. More

This was one of only two car buying experiences that we actually enjoyed and felt peaceful about once driving off the dealership lot. John Wester, our sales person, was very personable, helpful and honest. He was patient with us and excellent with communication. He wasn't one of those high-pressure sales people. He took great care of us from start to finish. We appreciate the way Eckert gives you their bottom-line pricing. Like the prior poster, we had also done our research beforehand and their pricing was right in line with what we were hoping for. During our buying/test driving experience, we also came in contact with Mike Barham (sales manager), Doug Peyton (fleet manager) & James Colman (financing). They were all so helpful & friendly (as were other staff members). We've never owned a Hyundai before, but so far we're really enjoying our new Veracruz. Thanks Eckert!! More
We recently purchased a Santa Fe Limited from Eckert Hyundai and it was a great experience. They displayed a friendly, no pressure, no hassle attitude when we were looking. When we decided to buy there wasn't the usual price haggling to deal with - they gave us their bottom line and it was inline with our research and amount we were willing to pay. That approach was greatly appreciated since the haggling part is always the most distasteful piece of buying a car. They all had a "what can we do to help you as our customer be happy" attitude, this made our car buying experince a pleasure. We have owned our car for a few days now and today Doug called just to see if all was going well with the car and did we have any questions. What a surprise; the other times I have purchased a car once the dealers had my money it was thanks and so long. Doug has really gone the extra mile to make sure we are a satisfied customer. I would highly recommend Douglas Peyton as a sales person and the personnel at Eckert Hyundai again. More
