I went to Echopark today to purchase a Chevy Bolt 2020 that was listed online. I did not buy the car because I learned that the dealer is still Not registered with the IRS for the Clean Used Vehicle Credi that was listed online. I did not buy the car because I learned that the dealer is still Not registered with the IRS for the Clean Used Vehicle Credit. From what I read online this is a simple, straightforward, fast online registration for dealers. Therefore, they are unable to fill out the one page IRS form 8936 required for me to get the 4k rebate on my federal taxes. Echopark has very competitive prices on their vehicle, but I am able to get a better deal on the same car at a regular dealer that is registered with the IRS after the rebate. I just googled Reddit and learned that several other EV customers that wanted to buy from Echopark had the same impediment. Echopark is a good concept, their locations are very nice convenient, and the salespeople's non pressure culture is fabulous, but as a business it has no future if unable to keep up with simple processes that will save $$ to their customer and generate many more sales . Leadership needs to notice of this and get on top of this small issue soon. I will wait a few months to see if this issue is finally resolved and accordingly revise this review and maybe purchase a used ev. More
