Before reading my review you've probably been looking through the other one star reviews. I just looked after writing mine and there are some people saying similar things to me. Just wanted to put that o through the other one star reviews. I just looked after writing mine and there are some people saying similar things to me. Just wanted to put that out there so you all know this wasn't a one time problem. Just to give you all some background, I am 18 years old and this was the first car that I bought from a dealer. I saved up to pay for it cash and I spent most of the money I had saved (24k on the dot) I’ve had other cars in the past but I had sold my last one and needed something for school and daily commute. I drive a lot with school, helping family with 3 siblings, working part time, etc. needless to say I need a car and my lifestyle would be very different without one and no I don’t live near any public transport so that isn’t an option. I called this dealership many times before the accident to inquire about the title because I didn’t know why It was taking so long. Every time I called they claimed it was a DMV issue (either lies or they didn’t know) because it was not a DMV issue. On the contrary, Echopark never transferred my title into my name until after the car accident. I waited at the DMV for 1.5 hours just to get a copy of it at least thinking that the title was already being processed. I wanted to get a copy just to prove to the person who hit me’s insurance that I am the owner. I waited just for them to tell me in less than one minute that not only do I not have a title there is no record of them even trying to process it. Echopark was ten minutes away and I was furious so I went over there and made sure they knew what was going on. The most ridiculous thing I have to say about this story is that they tried to have me to talk to a a new hire who knew nothing about my situation rather than literally anyone else. Ridiculous, disrespectful, and further more wasting my time even after everything else… I had to threaten them with legal action And actually did call my lawyer because not only did they not give me my title that I paid for in cash, they did not even start the process of the transfer until after the accident and had not started the process while I was talking to the lawyer. If they had not processed it I would have definitely sued them just to give you an idea that this situation was serious and they were taking it lightly. I was that ready to spend even more money on legal action especially since I have documentation of when I bought the car and when the title was retitled. My point is it’s very easy to see that there was negligence involved. Currently I got the title and all of the other documents. To give you some perspective, that car never had my own personal plate or my own registration on it. These things came in the mail AFTER the accident that's how long it took. They gave me a temporary tag at first and then they gave me a dealer tag after about two months of still not receiving my own tag. I still have the dealer tag so Echopark can contact me anytime to have it shipped back to them. I don’t think I’ll ever go back so if you want your plate feel free to reach out to me and send me a shipping label. I’m more than happy to drop it off at a post office, I just refuse to deal with these people again after this quite frankly xxxxty experience… you guys clearly didn't care about my documents so your plate isn't by biggest concern.. To the people reading: don’t buy from this place because there is a chance what they did to me could happen to you. To EchoPark: First dealership I’ve been to and worst dealership I’ve been too. Do better, train employees, and you need better customer service. I could go on but this review has a word limit. I gave ya'll 24 freaking thousand dollars and this is what I got in return. May not be much but its a lot to my 18 year old self so thanks for that. All of this just to say my experience with EchoPark was beyond negative and I refuse to even consider going back. Thank you for taking the time to read this I know it was very long. Needed to be said at this point. More
