Avoid **Andrew J. Zervas** As Your Sales Associate If you have the misfortune of being assigned ANDREW ZERVAS as your sales agent, I strongly advise you get his man Zervas** As Your Sales Associate If you have the misfortune of being assigned ANDREW ZERVAS as your sales agent, I strongly advise you get his manager Joe Martinez‘s information or ask for a different associate; albeit my experience at EchoPark was overall positive, that was mostly due to Joe intervening after Andrew stopped replying to my text messages and refused to own up to the mistake he had made. Throughout the car buying process, Andrew stated with unwavering confidence, on multiple occasions, it was REQUIRED to purchase a (not cheap) electronic accessory for a certain feature to work in the car I was interested in. Being a dealership that sells a mix of vehicles, I wasn’t surprised they didn’t have the necessary accessory on hand. During the signing process, Andrew conveniently pointed me to a Mazda dealership just down the block and was even able to tell me what time they closed because he used to work there. This is where I went wrong and blindly trusted what Andrew had told me and for no other reason than because of the advice given to me by Andrew, I proceeded to purchase said accessory without doing any prior research. I was subsequently looking up online how it worked and started to suspect I might have just purchased something (for over $400, and that included a discount!) that was completely unnecessary… Additionally, the accessory I bought fell under a non-refundable section of the Mazda dealership’s return policy. I reached out to Andrew and explained my predicament. Even after expressing my doubts, I received confirmation twice - from both him and his “technology expert” at EchoPark - that the accessory was indeed required. It wasn’t until I called the Mazda dealership that it came to light the accessory in question was required for older versions, but not for my 2023 model. That’s when Andrew told me I was SOL and should’ve done my own research prior to purchasing, refused to give me his manager's information when I asked for it and justified this by saying his manager would tell me the same thing he is, and eventually went completely ghost mode and ignored me! This was very irksome because no disclaimer was provided as I feel like there should be if a company isn’t going to stand behind their employee’s claims. I already had several clerical issues with Andrew leading up to the sale of the car (he shredded paperwork that I wanted for my records, the taxes on the final price sheet were off so we had to do a separate credit card transaction to cover the difference, I wasn’t informed in advance of whom to make the cashier’s check out to), so for him to go dark on a problem he directly got me into was unacceptable in my eyes. Luckily I was able to get ahold of Andrew’s manager, Joe Martinez, and the way he treated the issue was as if it were night & day from Andrew’s initial response. Even though I purchased the accessory from a competing establishment, Joe refunded me in full what I spent on it. I couldn’t believe how above & beyond he went to make things right! Overall, Joe saved my experience from being a completely disastrous one. However, let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t purchase their added protection plan for 3.5k to minimize future interactions lol More
