Yesterday I had the BEST car-buying experience of my life. This is pretty amazing since when I bought my last car at Weatherford BMW, it was my worst. (see my Yelp review for them). From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly and placed in the hands of the great Howard Zimmerman. He took me out for a test drive and in addition to being very knowledgable about the cars I was interested in, he was a great conversationalist. He listened to what I was saying, understood and helped me understand which car I should go with (after all of my questions and list of demands). You might be surprised to know that it was the least expensive model on the lot of all I looked at that I ended up buying. There was no pressure whatsoever in any way. He treated me and the deal perhaps the same way he would had I spent another $10k or more. Impressive. AND- my lease on my current BMW was up at Weatherford, and I thought I'd have to drive it back there and see those not-so-great people. Not so. Howard took care of everything there on the spot. Even the finance guy was super-nice, didn't try to pressure me into buying anything, and answered my direct questions without hesitation. (ie. Does he make a commission on anything extra he sells?) Scott Day is the Sales Manager, and I'll have to say, runs a great business. He was very busy, but made sure to treat me with undivided attention. At the end of the purchase, Howard got into the car with me and went over EVERY switch, lever, and instructions. I couldn't believe it. THAT'S customer service. I will urge all of my friends and family to make the drive to Pleasanton if they're looking for a BMW or Mini. It's WELL WORTH the trip. I will be back! And look forward to it! Thank you! More
I took my 325ci in for Inspection 1 and Inspection 2. They found problems with my car. The service was performed. I picked it up the next day; the car was driving worse then it was originally. I took the car back to be checked they found another component wrong. Service was performed, picked the car up. Still not drivinig correct. Took the car back for the third time to be told it was a warped brake disc. Which should have been found on the original Inspection. It is now 4 months later and I am finding incorrectly installed spark plugs, courtesy of East Bay BMW. I have switched to Performance Technic because of the unsatisfactory service from East Bay. More

Great experience working with Steve Kong. I was looking for 2013 335 model which is not even in production and in high demand. He went up and down to meet all my demands. They have free hot chocolate which is pretty cool, comes out at the right temp too which is really cool Now thats where the good things end. I had a spark plug replaced up there, they screwed it up and I had to get a new one installed down in BMW San Diego, I told them to fax a copy of the paperwork down to BMW san diego since it was still under warranty and they never did, so the spark plug I had installed AGAIN came out of pocket when it was under warranty. Later on; a few years later I had my oil changed, with that comes a full inspection, literally a few weeks later my car breaks down and doesn't start. When I called them and told them the issue they said that they couldn't anticipate future problems. Whats the point of having a car inspected if thats the case? BMW San Diego and Encinitas on a side note are good and I had good experiences at both of those places. More

My wife and I started our BMW search first at Concord BMW. However, we were both dissatisfied with the service we received from the Concord salesperson. He did not listen to us, tried to sell us a new BM BMW. However, we were both dissatisfied with the service we received from the Concord salesperson. He did not listen to us, tried to sell us a new BMW 328i that did not fit our budget nor quite the level of luxury vehicle we were going for, and even after asking him if there was a certified used BMW that might better fit our needs, the salesperson became more and more forceful and bent on selling us the new car--even trying to push leasing a new car for 72 months! We thanked him and left with no car. The next day, we drove from our home in Oakland all the way to East Bay BMW in Pleasanton and were leery as to what kind of service we would encounter. Wow, were we thrilled at the positive difference! After scouring the Certified Used BMW's by ourselves first, we requested a salesperson to show us the two 335i's we had narrowed our search to and were very pleasantly surprised by the high level of professionalism, honesty, and top-notch customer service shown us by Mr. Tony Yuan. Integrity means everything to us, and my wife and I were so impressed with how truthful and forthcoming Tony was with us throughout the entire interaction. He was extremely thorough from the point of showing us the Blue Book price on the car right at the start to staying till late to go over the navigation system, car key, lights, locks, mirrors, and a sundry of car functions prior to us driving off the lot as owners. Not once did I feel pushed, bullied, ignored, discriminated against because we are a married lesbian couple, or taken advantage of by Mr. Yuan, nor by the Financial Manager who also provided us superb customer service. I can honestly say, at 50 years old now, my experience with East Bay BMW is the best experience I have ever had in the 31 years I've encountered since buying my first car from a dealership. I do not say this lightly. I have a high profile job as a Vice President of a Bay Area college where hundreds of faculty, staff, and students check my parking place to see if I am in each day at work. Because they saw a beautiful new BMW 335i parked in my reserved space, individuals were asking me all week if that was my new car they saw in the parking lot. To let you know just how much I appreciated my experience at your dealership, in just the one week since I have owned my new Certified used BMW, I have probably recommended East Bay BMW and Mr. Tony Yuan two dozen times to those who asked me about my new car. I cannot thank you enough for a fantastic experience that has not ended just because we signed the dotted line. Today, my wife took our new BMW in to have the LowJack added and the car care service. The service staff was very helpful and also provided excellent service. According to my wife, she was provided a loaner car with absolutely no hassle, the Service Department went out of their way to provide her options for the floor mats she inquired about, and the Service Manager called twice to let us know how the car was progressing with the intended services throughout the day. My expectation based upon every single interaction thus far, is that the excellent service afforded us by all personnel at East Bay BMW will remain superior, honest, and fully customer service focused. Shawn was great to work with. When we first arrived at the dealership, Shawn approached us with a smile and let us know that he was there to help us if we needed him. The entire dealership was very accommodating and patient especially since we had our 3 yr old with us and he was a handful. I would/will definitely recommend East Bay BMW to my family and friends...
