The sales department takes time to allow the buyer to absorb the details of a purchase to sink in without being rushed to close a deal. All of the people I've met at this location are well versed in the product's they sell and service, they really go all out to work with a buyer. After my third vehicle purchase at this Earnhardt location, I've had an opportunity to talk with other sales and management people and to a person they are all great people who are willing to help in any way they can. My sales person, Mr. Bill Lohmeyer, spent a lot of time working with me to achieve the car and price I could work with on all three of my vehicles. He is very knowledgeable, genuinely interested in you as a customer and makes you really feel welcome. His friendly approach to all customers puts you at ease and makes the whole process easier. I would definitely recommend Bill to anyone, he is the most helpful and willing person I've ever met when buying a vehicle. His customer follow-up with phone calls and mailings is a class above most other sales people. The latest purchase was on December 24, and all of these individuals stayed well after everyone was on their way home from the dealership to see the sale finalized and my taking delivery on Christmas eve. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gary Johnson the sales manager and Mr. Glenn Patten the finance manager both are super nice and make it very easy for my wife and I to come back to this dealer for our future vehicles and service. Great Staff, but Need Work on their Service Department While the staff are really nice and great at their customer service, they definitely failed me in their repair and service department. Several visits to service and several thousand dollars later, my two issues are still not resolved. Additionally, they have been unable to diagnose an issue even after two attempts. Their best guess was to replace something at over $700. After spending almost $3k on other repairs that didn't fix all the issues, I declined. I just took my Mazda to another repair shop who diagnosed it in about 30 minutes and was able to perform the repair for $174 installed. I wish I could have saved the money I spent at Earnhardt Mazda Scottsdale that never fixed the problems. More
GREAT service! I came to this Mazda dealer as it was closest to my home. I had visited this location prior for service due to a recall on my previous Mazda vehicle, I came to this Mazda dealer as it was closest to my home. I had visited this location prior for service due to a recall on my previous Mazda vehicle, and was very pleased with Barry's friendly personality and eagerness to help. He was so upbeat. I really enjoyed talking with him and he got me in and out of there as quickly as possible. Then I came back this Sunday just to get information regarding my current lease and when it was due. Four hours later, I drove off in a new CX-5 that I have been very pleased with. Bill and Gary greeted me from the parking lot the minute I walked in. Bill sat down with me to go over all my options and we went on a test drive. I was very pleased with Bill's level of service, knowledge, and friendliness. We exchanged many stories and I loved learning about his new wife and step-daughter. Such a heart warming story. Bill was not pushy at all and allowed me the time to make my decision. Eventually, we came to a deal that was acceptable for both of us. I want to thank Bill for his eagerness to get me excited about my new car. Also, a big thank you to Blayke for chatting with me while Bill was trying to make me a deal. She was a real sweetheart and I hope she enjoys her new life here in AZ. It's gotta be better than Alaska, right? :) This is my 3rd Mazda vehicle and it's people like these folks that keep me coming back to obtain their stellar customer service, humor, and willingness to get me into a car that suits me. I did not haggle because I really just wanted to get the financing right for my cash flow needs. My primary objection was the selling process was too complicated and long. Because this dealer wants to get the car off the lot the same day of sale, I had to spend 4 hours with test drive, negotiating and then waiting for financing and dealer prep. In all my other car purchases, this took place over night and I did not have to wait. This might be good for the dealer but it was a bad experience for me, the customer. More
