Earnhardt Scottsdale Lexus, Scottsdale AZ - Tex Earnhardt should be ashamed of himself. I brought my Lexus to an Earnhardt dealership for service and was pummeled with "bull". Automobiles purchased by me in the future and any service work performed will not take place at an Earnhardt dealership. Lexus headquarters; shame on you as well for tolerating unscrupulous and underhanded dealings from a dealership that brands itself with the Lexus name. I was told costly repairs of approximately $3000 were needed to my transmission to address a leak. When I declined and indicated my regular mechanic would make an assessment, I was told the dealership mechanic would "take another look". I was called and notified the leak was not coming from the area the dealership mechanic had initially claimed but from a different area that would be less costly to repair. I was also told of other items that needed repair most of which I did not authorize and distinctly told Dudley not to proceed with the transmission repairs or the replacement of motor and transmission mounts. I was then notified all of the work had been performed despite it not having been authorized. I was billed for more than $1200.00 with the claim Dudley "misunderstood" my instructions. Worse yet, I soon discovered the leak had not been repaired and learned from my regular mechanic that the seal the dealership claimed to replace was the very seal my mechanic had previously replaced and was not the source of the leak. In summary, I was charged for unauthorized work and the work done did not repair the leak. I now have repair bills from my regular mechanic. I should mention I contacted Lexus Customer Service and spoke with Kevin who offered me a voucher of approximately $169.00 to be used for future work performed. More
The new car sales manager and his staff were arrogant and condescending. I had a bad feeling about this dealership within the first 15 minutes I was there and left the dealership soon after that. The experience made me wonder if I really wanted a Lexus, if this is how they treat customers. A few days after this experience and having told several friends what had happened I was advised to visit Lexus of Chandler. I did, I purchased my new car that very day and the experience was wonderful. Lexus of Chandler really understands customer service! After a truly nightmare experience at Bell Lexus, I went to Scottsdale Lexus to have my car evaluated for a vibration problem that I have been having with my car for 19 months. WOW!! The team at Scottsdale Lexus ( Gary Kreutz ( service advisor ), Pete ( shop foreman/True Lexus master ), and Larry Bockius(service manager) were very friendly, knowledgable, and patient while looking into my issue. I was truly blown away at the difference in the attention to detail, friendliness, and quality of work between Bell Lexus and Scottsdale Lexus. I will gladly drive 30 miles to service my car by this wonderful team. Not only is the quality of work much better at Scottsdalel Lexus, but the prices are lower. I assumed because it was in Scottsdale it may be a little more expensive, but it's not the case at all. In fact Gary Kruetz ( my service advisor ) was kind enough to tell me about a coupon that would help save me money on the service . I also notice that at Scottsdale Lexus that they hand wash all of their serviced vehicles. That shows me that even though they need to spend more time and effort on making the customers car look great, the will go the extra mile not to scratch or damage the vehicle that you worked so hard for and love so much. Again, in contrast to Bell Lexus who has scratched my previous Lexus and did nothing when I mentioned it other than to tell the staff to no longer wash my car. One last major difference between the two service departments was the fact that the service bays at Scottsdale Lexus are air conditoned. I was blown away yet again. At Bell Lexus the techs are exposed to the heat where at Scottsdale Lexus the techs are working on the vehicles in a very comfortable cool temperature. When I noticed that I immediately thought, who would do a better job working on a long and complicated problem with a car? The tech exposed to working around a hot vehicle with ambient temps of over 110 degrees, or the tech who is comfortable working on your car at about 76 degrees??? After servicing my car at Bell Lexus, Arrowhead Lexus, and Scottsdale Lexus, I truly feel that Scottsdale Lexus is BY FAR THE BEST LEXUS DEALERSHIP . Bell Lexus had my car for 23 days, put 642 miles on my car "test driving ", damaged my new windshield ( installed 3 days before I took it to Bell Lexus ), and then proceeded to invite me not to come back because I was too picky when I complained about the damage. Bell Lexus also couldn't diagnose the problem in 23 days. The service manager at Scottsdale Lexus came out to thank me for my business , but at Bell Lexus the manager had the gaul to call me and tell me " We cant diagnose the problem", "we're only human". WOW!! I am amazed at the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scottsdale Lexus is where I will be taking my Lexus vehicles for now on, and if you want great service quality at a great price I would strongly suggest you do the same. More

In the first week of April 2012 I went to Earnhardt Scottsdale Lexus to see Jan Person who had been my salesperson there eight years ago. I brought two Lexus owner friends with me, potential customers. One of my friends had spoken to Jan, asking him about a specific pre-owned model. He found one, but a year older than what she had asked for so she was not at all interested. Jan then had me drive a new model. My friends were in the back seat. During the test drive down very busy city streets, Jan proceeded to install and demonstrate the blue-tooth feature for my iPhone. I was very uncomfortable trying to watch traffic, operate a car I’d never driven, listen to Jan plus glance at the display screen. I told him later how uncomfortable we all were. That lesson was better left for the parking lot. As I left that day, I told Jan I wanted to do some research but would be ready to purchase the end of April. He promised to call me in three weeks. Three weeks later, although never a phone call from Jan, I went back to the dealership. I came prepared with Internet research for the value of my 2004 ES with only 53,000 miles and, yes, a fender bender accident. I’d paid for my own Car Fax, and NADA value report, both of which rated my car as excellent in spite of the accident. I also had 3 reputable value reports for the trade in value of my car averaging a trade in amount $12,000. Coincidently, a luxury dealer of a different brand had offered me a $12,000 trade in. Scottsdale Earnhardt Lexus would only give me $8000. I spent the better part of two afternoons discussing this with Jan and Tim, the sales manager. They persisted in telling me I had a bad CarFax which I knew to be untrue since I’d run my own. Then they tried to sell me a car of a color other than the one I wanted because they could “deal better” on that car. Yes, I guess so. It was their inventory they wanted to push. They had to find the car I wanted to purchase, BTW, fully loaded. I had been patient with Jan because of my errant sense of loyalty from eight years before. I ultimately terminated that and any future business with Scottsdale Lexus, Jan Person and Tim, the sales manager. I did get the car I wanted, the trade in value that was fair as described above and with no hassle on any of my other preferences, from another Lexus dealer. Please see my rating for Chandler Lexus. There honesty and integrity is second to none and Robert is one funny guy (or at least he thinks so). Jim’s attention to detail made both transactions go so smoothly that I was out of there in 30 minutes or less. Give them a try I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. More

We had been looking for my "dream car" for years and had specific criteria in terms of price, mileage, color, and condition. My husband met Suk Chang at Scottsdale Lexus about a year ago and gave him the details of the car we wanted. Suk kept in contact throughout the year until he found our car! He always greated us as we got out of our car in the parking lot of the dealership (which says alot about his attention to service because it is 112+ degrees outside). Suk is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. I believe good companies keep good people and good people stay with good companies. I recommend Scottsdale Lexus if you are in the market for a pre-owned or new car. Ask for Suk! He is wonderful! More
