I had contacted Earnhardt Honda and spoke with a salesperson whom I believe to be Dennis. Dennis seemed nice and helpful. My fiancé and I went and drove 65 miles from East Mesa to go purchase a used salesperson whom I believe to be Dennis. Dennis seemed nice and helpful. My fiancé and I went and drove 65 miles from East Mesa to go purchase a used 2010 Honda Insight because they were willing to meet our price that we wanted out the door. When we arrived, and began talking financial information, I told them that I did not want them to run my credit more than once. I stressed this as I had purchased another car about a year previous to this purchase and the number of inquiries hindered my from acquiring a refinance loan for student loans and for a credit card that I had intentions of obtaining to refinance other credit debt. The salesman, Dennis, assured me that it would be run only once and that I had nothing to worry about. We made the purchase and about 2-3 weeks later I was requested to provide a Proof of Residence for the financing. At this time, I had received 2 notices in the mail about financing requests that had been made in my name at multiple banks. One request said the requested dollar amount was for $3,000+ OVER the purchase price of the car. I checked my credit report and now I again have too many credit inquiries and again, am being denied due to this to refinance credit debt. Andre’s response to me asking him why he (finance department) ran my credit more than once was: “I needed to get you a loan approval. Got several declines before I got an approval at the interest rate we contracted you at. Some approvals came back at higher interest rates.” To which I replied: “You shouldn't sell an interest rate before having it solidified. Now because of your actions you've affected my financial plans because I cannot get refi's on debt that I had planned on getting refi'd in January because of too many credit inquiries. This is the reason I stressed the importance of having my credit ran only once and was assured that it would only be ran once. My fiance and I were going to get married at the end of this year from saving money after refinancing these debts and now that won't happen because of your actions. I had been planning this for the entire year because when I got my BMW they did the same thing (ran my credit too many times) and stopped me from refinancing student loans back in January of last year. Those inquiries were finally about to stop effecting my credit worthiness from the refinancing I was attempting to obtain and now that's all messed up again.” Andre claims: “No, we aren't running your credit over and over, banks are looking at it when they are judging whether or not to approve the loan. Once the loan post on your credit your score should go back to how it was prior to the bank inquiries. Credit agencies know that when you're buying a car banks need to look at your credit. Congratulations on the engagement. You're a lucky guy. Your fiance is very nice and attractive.” First of all, how unprofessional to even comment on my fiancé. And second, YOU DID RUN MY CREDIT OVER AND OVER.. I HAVE THE INQUIRIES FROM MULTIPLE BANKS TO PROVE THAT. My reply: “You're not understanding the term credit inquiries. It’s not the credit score that is the problem.. it’s the financial institution looking at the inquiry history and saying that I have too many recent inquiries and they feel I am trying to open too many lines of credit. Those inquiries stay for two or three years and are held against applicants for a year from the inquiry date.” So now I am paying finance charges on debt I had intended on moving to zero interest credit cards and saving money so that I could get married at the end of this year. Now that has to be delayed further and I have to pay more money towards debt than what was intended. My financial plans are ruined and because of the carelessness of this dealership. I would not recommend Earnhardt Honda to anyone and I would be careful trusting this dealership. More
After researching auto safety reports and summaries prepared by different investigative organizations, my husband and I, armed with our research results, spent the last two weeks visiting different car prepared by different investigative organizations, my husband and I, armed with our research results, spent the last two weeks visiting different car dealers to check the vehicles which were reported as the top models for gas mileage and safety and other factors. The first dealer we visited was our Honda dealer , Earnhardt Honda by the I-10 & 101 Freeway in Avondale, Arizona. (We also have a 2006 Honda Civic.) We checked out Honda first because Honda was number one on our list. Then we checked nine other different car dealers as a result of our research. After checking out all of the top ten cars that we researched, we went back to our Honda dealer and purchased the 2012 Honda Civic EX for the following reasons: Honda had the best cars. Other car companies achieved the 40 mpg status in some of their cars; but, they lost points in their design. To achieve the engineering part, they sacrificed practicality. The interior design was so illogical in some cars. Maneuvering your body in some vehicles was difficult. Some were hard to drive. Most of these other cars were very uncomfortable. Some of the vehicles would present blind spots because of their design and make it very difficult for other cars on the road to notice their presence. If you came up on the lower side or in back of an SUV or bus for example, the drivers might not see you. We knew from past experience that Honda has excellent customer service. During our initial visit to our Honda dealership, Manuel Cabrera was the person who helped us. He was very knowledgeable about all the Honda vehicles. I mention this because at some of the other car dealers, some of the sales personnel did not know a lot about their company’s vehicles and were unable to answer some of our questions. Then, after visiting all the other dealers, we came back and Mr. Cabrera helped us again. The Honda Civic we choose was really “loaded” with a lot of new features we are very unfamiliar with (like the onboard navigation, etc.). He was very patient with us and very informative and we fell in love with this car!! Even after we bought the car, he contacted us to see how we were doing and how we thought the car was performing. He told us to contact him if we needed any further help whatsoever in learning all the new systems that were available in our new Civic. He would go over everything again if we wanted him to. He was very kind, very patient, and very well informed. Now we have two Honda Civics!!!!!!! We know our Honda’s will get the best maintenance and service as our Honda dealer is the best! S. I went into this dealer looking for a 2006- 2007 Honda Accord. Upon entering the dealer I specifically told the sales man what I was looking for. Even after explaining what I wanted he kept attempting to Accord. Upon entering the dealer I specifically told the sales man what I was looking for. Even after explaining what I wanted he kept attempting to sell me a car I did not want. He pushed it as far as to have me test drive it. As if that was going to change my mind. When he realized that I was not going to budge with this car another man came into the picture. (They multiplied faster than I could remember their names.) One said he was the manager. He attempted again to sell me the car I did not want. When I told him call me when you have something I want he got irritated. At this point he began to tell me that the car I was looking for does not exist. Little did he know I have done my research on the car and know for a fact that it exist. Since then this dealer has been calling me daily but I don't answer. More
In August of 2008 I purchased a used 2007 Certified CR-V. Unfortunately, the car was recently totaled (Jan 2011). Upon the car being totaled, I found out the car fax that was provided was wrong. The car fa Unfortunately, the car was recently totaled (Jan 2011). Upon the car being totaled, I found out the car fax that was provided was wrong. The car fax said the car was never in a accident, but the valuation the insurance company did showed that the car was indeed in a accident, which meant I got less payout for the totaled car. Anyway I needed to purchase another car, and I really like Honda products so I went back to the dealership just to look because it is the closest Honda dealer to my home. Immediately I was approached by Bill from Omaha and I explained that unless I got the deal of the century on another USED CR-V I would NOT consider buying from them because of the raw deal I got the last time with the car fax on my certified car. The sales guy immediately made some excuse why the car fax could be wrong. I explained again this was a certified car that goes through a 150 point inspection. How can Honda mechanics not notice that the car had replacement parts? I only got more excuses. Then Bill from Omaha starts a pitch to sell me a new CR-V telling me he will sell it to me at invoice price with 1.9% financing that way I know for sure it has never been in an accident. He even had the audacity to tell me he was giving me the "Omaha deal" because I am from Omaha too. When I came in I clearly stated that I wanted another USED CR-V and I know I mentioned it again several times during our conversation. While it might not be his fault for the bad car fax I received, the last thing a customer wants to hear is excuses. And the biggest failure a sales guy can make is NOT listening to the customers wants. Trying to smooth talk me into something I don't want and talking down to me with the "Omaha deal" is insulting and just makes you lose a sale. Avoid this dealership at all cost. Obviously they either make shady deals or have mechanics that can't tell if a car had been in an accident. I wouldn't trust them for anything. More

The salesman was not liking the way i wanted to do things. Then about 10 mins later a tal,l nicely dress man (Sam) comes out and brings me some water and just starts having a conversation with me without trying to be a pushy salesman. I liked that approch and then he told me about some specials on a new cars he had. He showed me a civic and an accord. I liked the civic and Sam let me drive the vehicle. While I was driving the vehicle he got info off my vehicle. He made everything so easy. When I got back he then showed me what it was going to cost. We fought about the price a little bit but I finally got what i wanted on my trade and I think i got a fair price on Civic. We agreed on a price and that was it. I went to meet with Micheal the Finance Manager and he sold me a warranty at great deal for 8years and 120k miles. He told me that only Honda has that kind of warranty. He was quick and friendly, and got my deal approved. The only thing I would recommend to them is dont try adding extra $$$$money$$$$ ontop of the cars true price. This a a GREAT place to buy a vehicle and have told all my friends and co-workers about my experience about this dealership. More
Worst experience at a car dealership that I have ever experienced. I am never going to forget how rude I was treated and feel like I wanted to walk out. We owned a 1997 Honda CRV for twelve years, in the New England environment, with 142,000 basically repair-free miles. We wanted to look at a replacement in the Honda family. We had the vehicle maintained England environment, with 142,000 basically repair-free miles. We wanted to look at a replacement in the Honda family. We had the vehicle maintained at this dealership during our trips to Arizona and were impressed with the staff and service. The whole process of looking at vehicles, test driving and negotiating a trade in and purchase was positive and easy. The paperwork was explained in detail and was correct and complete. We were able to complete the deal and could not be happier with our new Honda Fit Sport. The follow ups to check on our satisfaction with the car, answer any questions and to see if we were 100% happy were courtious and appreciated. We recommend this Honda dealership. More
