WORST car buying experience ever On Sept 9th my wife and I decided to go car shopping. I wanted to replace a Dodge truck I own. We went to the Eagle Outlet at Homosassa and talked to On Sept 9th my wife and I decided to go car shopping. I wanted to replace a Dodge truck I own. We went to the Eagle Outlet at Homosassa and talked to Randy. We found a truck that we were interested in so we went to the Eagle Buick GMC main dealership and discussed the “DEAL” with John. Ultimately we decided not to purchase the truck but while I was there I noticed a 2006 Corvette Convertible for sale at the dealership. That was the car I had been looking for, my dream car. It was my sixty fifth birthday but my wife was not excited about the car. I was scheduled to play golf the following day and requested that my wife take our Corvette coupe to the Eagle GMC Buick and see if we could come to terms on the Corvette convertible. After playing golf I called my wife who was at Eagle Buick GMC and surprisingly she loved the 2006 Convertible. I arrived at Eagle Buick GMC and discovered that we were some distance apart on the price. We were told by John one of the managers at Eagle Buick GMC to take the Corvette Convertible for a drive. He said “Take as long as you want, go set down take your lunch discuss the price you want to be at and come back in two or three hours and while you are gone I’ll see how close we can come to an agreement”. We left went to Crystal River sat down and while we eating decided that we were going to offer a thousand less than where we were at before we left but ultimately we were ready to pay cash for ANY difference that the dealership wanted. While we were returning from our lunch which was no more than forty five minutes since we had left we received a phone call from Randy who said you need to bring the car back we have someone here that wants to buy that car. I told him that we were on our way back and no more than a few minutes away from the dealership. When I arrived at the dealership I was told by Randy that he was told by Terry to call me and tell me to return the car. I immediately retrieved the keys to my Corvette Coupe and my wife and I left the dealership in our vehicles. A couple of years ago I had purchased an IS250 Lexus from this Eagle Buick GMC and this was my trusted dealership here in Citrus County. I had recommended this dealership to many of my friends. I have NEVER been treated so badly at an auto dealership where are there ETHICS? In 48 years of purchasing vehicles I have never literally had a vehicle sold out from under me while I was driving the vehicle. It would have been different if I had a financing problem but I was paying cash, there was not any financing involved at all. I called Russell, the dealership manager, on the eleventh of September and he apologized explaining that Randy made a rookie mistake. Looking back on the situation a ten year old kid should have known better. Possibly the salesmen Randy and Terry thought the sale to the other buyer would render a bigger commission. I just can’t understand why I would be called to return the car. Bottom line my faith in what I felt was the HONEST dealership here in Citrus County has been eliminated. In my opinion this dealership has been destroyed by unethical practices. More
Definitely ask for Steve Ernstes! We needed to buy a used car. I called and spoke to Steve Ernstes on the phone, but when we came to the dealership it was his weekend off. We did buy We needed to buy a used car. I called and spoke to Steve Ernstes on the phone, but when we came to the dealership it was his weekend off. We did buy a car, and it is very nice, and the interest rate was good. But we were only given 1 key, and the salesman promised to send the key by mail that Monday (we live 2 hours away). Long story short, after calling about 6 times, speaking to our salesman and the manager, after 5 weeks when we called Steve answered. He took personal responsibility, and had our keys overnighted to our house. Later when we were having some work done in that area on another car (not from their dealership) he let us have a loaner for the day from them. And he wasn't even our salesman! I rated the friendliness good and customer service good, but it was only because Steve was so nice to us. We would come back, or recommend our friends, but not if they used a different salesperson. In May of 2013, after deciding the 2013 Acadia was the right vehicle for our family, I set out on the adventure of finding the best deal with the least amount of hassle. I looked forward to it like a hot right vehicle for our family, I set out on the adventure of finding the best deal with the least amount of hassle. I looked forward to it like a hot poker in the eye! I was fortunate to have insider knowledge of the "car business" and I did an excessive amount of research prior to getting started with the buying process. Knowing the vehicle I wanted and also knowing what I wanted in that vehicle, I decided to spare myself the pain of dealing with the traditional asphalt lot salesman and instead sit in my air-conditioned home and use the Internet to my advantage. I located a handful of vehicles within several hours of my hometown and started the process. In doing so, I dealt with Reggie Terry, the Internet Sales Manager at Eagle Buick GMC in Homassassa, FL. He answered my email requests promptly with a no pressure approach. After several emails back and forth between numerous dealerships, Reggie provided me with the best price of anyone around. My wife and I travelled to Eagle GMC to close the deal and get her new car. Upon arrival, I could tell Reggie was very busy. It was a holiday weekend and some of the better rebates were ending soon. Reggie politely greeted us and hustled to serve us and his other customers. I read every line of every piece of paper and found no hidden costs or deception in Reggie's pricing. Everything remained consistent with the deal Reggie offered me on the Internet. We were in a hurry to return home for prior commitments and Reggie did everything in his power to get us out of there as fast as possible. Reggie was personable, professional, and easy to deal with. After finishing up with Reggie, we set off to the finance department to finish the paperwork. Billy (LNU) was very courteous and professional. Billy answered every question we had and thoroughly explained every aspect of the paperwork. Billy offered additional items such as extended warranties, etc., without pressure and politely accepted if we declined to purchase the additional services/products. We have excellent credit. Billy got us financed at a lower rate than our credit union, which was offering us a really low rate. In the end, I felt like the dealership made a little money, we saved a little money, and the negative car buying experience I forecasted turned out to be a pleasant one! Craig More
Eagle GMC supposedly installed ACDelco fuel filter. 2 weeks and 2000 miles later the fuel filter failed in Colorado. Markley Motors GMC service in Fort Collins showed us the old filter that was not an A weeks and 2000 miles later the fuel filter failed in Colorado. Markley Motors GMC service in Fort Collins showed us the old filter that was not an ACDelco but was the old filter that Eagle was supposed to replace, and recommended we use ACDelco filters from now on, stating this on their receipt. Eagle refuses to pay for the cost of our unnecessary breakdown and repair after they failed to do the work we paid for. Eagle claims that we and Markley lied about the filter in order to not have to pay warranty on the part. We have been a good service customer of theirs but would never go back now after their horrid treatment. More

Reggie Terry, our sales consultant, was very good. However, between Reggie and Chris, the financial person, there were big problems. An error of $1579.70 was made in the paper work. When we were gi However, between Reggie and Chris, the financial person, there were big problems. An error of $1579.70 was made in the paper work. When we were given the final paper work, I told them it was wrong. Chris had already left for the night. The next day I made four calls to the dealership to Reggie and Chris and none of which were returned. During my last call, Reggie told me that Chris had found an error and I would be happy with the new numbers. The next day when I returned, the price had gone down! Chris was arrogant! If I had made a $1500 error, the first thing I would do would be to call the customer. Neither of them did that! Also, I would think the sales manager would have come in and said how sorry he was for the error. He/She did not! I never got a purchase agreement on the car deal. All they did was use a "cash price" which had everthing net out on their retail installment sales contract. What a sham! Never again! More

The reason why I would never recomend this dealer is because, first of all I paid too much for the new truck. The finance guy blantly lied to me. Telling me I had to buy warranties to get Bank of Americ because, first of all I paid too much for the new truck. The finance guy blantly lied to me. Telling me I had to buy warranties to get Bank of America to finance the loan. Well I called the Bank of America in the city where the loan was placed and they told me that was not true that I did not have to get the warranties to get the loan. Also the interest rate they charged me was too high for my credit rating which by the way is 843. I repeatly tried to get the GM, Russ Baldner, to call me, but there always was some excuse. They couldn't find him or somthing else came up. This dealership has very questionable practices. I Have been sick over this. Plus I still do not know if they cancelled the warranties. Stay as far away from this dearship as possible! Buyer Be Ware! More
